"The Soapbox" Your say...No1

There are still numerous people putting comments on posts which have no connection to the original post. However, many of these comments are interesting and / or make valid points. This blog has therefore decided to have a regular feature "The Soapbox" where readers of this blog may raise issues not covered in specific postings. If any of these comments raise interesting or important issues they may become the subject of a full-scale TC Post.

But please note, this is not licence for a free-for-all insultfest! Defamatory or abusive comments will not be tolerated. Relevant remarks or provable statements are eagerly encouraged. And most important of all "The Soapbox" means that comments on posts made by TC must be relevant.

Why are senior officials at new charter housing keen to prosecute anti-blood sports campaigners, and wanting names of people opposed to the blood sports.?

80% of the British public are opposed to this barbaric sport of killing animals.
And which government banned fox hunting?

No one is posting, or you are not allowing any. It seems you are not so radical to allow free speech.

@alf garnet.
I am sorry I did not publish your post but it contained accusations against a named councillor for which there was no proof. I don't doubt the accuracy of the post. I will edit out the name and repost here.

We're having a right bad time down here at Audenshaw reservoirs again. We're just coming to the end of 5 years of house building and 2 new sites have just started1 One is for 280 home and the other is for the new club house for Fairfield golf club. YOU SHOULD SEE THE MUD ON KINGS ROAD. All pushed though on the sly after Fairfield golf club took Kings Road off me with the help of the council. Fairfield and UU do a underhand deal that pushed me, a land owner, down here to one side so that they could build their hearts out down here and we were not even told about the planning! Fairfield golf club have done a deal where they sold their old club house and a chunk of land and they get a new club house on the Denton part. Its all lies at the moment so we don't know just how much of their club is now gone but its got to be a lot. So sadly it may be time to say good bye to a beautiful part of England.

Does this not concern Tameside Citizen readership ?????? Is this the bloody childish behavior we pay for with elected MP`s http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/local-news/reddish-mps-cat-running-become-6676550 Using a cat to create extra votes in forth coming elections tell you the crap mentality of an increasingly wealthy political family. If this is what this country has for representatives surely it will not be long before Big Brother,Dancing on Ice,High Diving shows and BBC "Come Dancing" farces will be thronged with idiots we have as MP's.

Hey TC if Alf Garnett has trouble writing you should help him pen a main article on that subject and you should feature the ridiculously pathetic MP's cat story too.

Thanks for that TC

Expenses cheat MP released from prison said...

What a disgrace. West served longer for saying the word 'neighbour' in a video. This thieving Labour pos stole over £12,000 and yet he only seved six weeks. I bet a single mum guilty of stealing £12,000 from New Charter wouldn't be out in six weeks. This country has gone mad.

A former Labour minister jailed for six months for fraudulently claiming £13,000 in parliamentary expenses today tweeted he is out after six weeks, thanking prosecutors for the 'fascinating' time behind bars.

Prison is 'the place' to go to to lose weight and get fit and is 'fascinating', the ex-MP added as he walked free just six weeks into his six month sentence for fraudulent expenses claims totalling nearly £13,000.

I would love to have J Hall knowledge on this subgect. Did he not stoped all the building on the Resivoirs last time they tryed to build on it ?

The "I" Word said...

Re building on the Fairfield golf club clubhouse, the same thing happened at Duki and they got a spanking new clubhouse as well.
The reason for buildamania (and I'm out and about throughout Greater Manchester every day and it's all over and getting worse) is the massive and exponentially growing population throughout England caused by mass, uncontrolled immigration that is STILL ONGOING and directly, adversely affecting Tamesiders more and more every day.

Farage Accuses Labour of “Intimidatory” Tactics said...

Vile criminal Labour scum threatening and intimidating again.

http://order-order.com/2014/02/06/farage-complains-to-electoral-commission-over-labour-postal-votes-accuses-canvassers-of-intimidatory-tactics/

No need to fiddle postal votes: in Walthamstow in 2010 Labour gained a seat on a turnout of 125% in one ward, simply by giving each Labour candidate a thousand extra votes at the count. It was put down to ‘fatigue’ among the counting staff, but was only reversed after a court action.

The Returning Officer aka the CE was paid £350k immediately afyerwards to retire and say nowt.

Audenshaw reservoirs will be on the hit list soon. There won't be room to swing a cat in this borough or country in a few years. But HEY, at least there'll be plenty of foreign food and cheap labour won't there.

Above case sums up the wretched state of our nation and proves beyond doubt whose side the justice system is on.
