Cavendish 249 a Home from Home?

By my calculations, as informed by Companies House documents, there are at least 14 companies and / or charities who use or have used the New Charter main office "Cavendish 249" as a Registered Office or contact address.  All perfectly legal and common business practice. 55 at least of these Companies' directors give Cavendish 249 as their address. Again this is permissible in law. Indeed Companies House lists several ways in which the URA (Usual Residential Address) can be kept private. But the reasons for this privacy are fewer. They are basically that the person concerned is a member of the police or security services or that the company of which the person is an officer has been "targeted by animal rights or other activists".

There is a fee of £100 or £55 to make an application for the restricting of the URA. Which begs the question why have some of the 55 who have not revealed their URA on some company documents revealed it on others? Seems a waste of money.  And who are the "activists" who are the cause of this desire for secrecy?

Whilst studying the documents TC came across an interesting item. There is a limited company which is also a charity which has as a director a senior Police officer of GMP formerly based in  Tameside and now moved to elsewhere in Greater Manchester. The officer gives "Cavendish 249" as their address.

Tameside Citizen has reported on New Charter---GMP links in the past but this is new. At the time that Roy West was being investigated by the Police for alleged breaches of a restraining order, later proved, a senior GMP officer was a director of a company whose registered office was Cavendish 249. And so was their contact address.

Now the plot thickens, now we are getting somewhere.
This could be why, Roy West has had 47 police officers at his house since 2008. This includes three police inspectors on election night, 4 CID officers, two of them visited Roy West on election day 2008.
6 arrests, two interviews by the local beat officer that came to nothing.
Don't forget the regular visits by the senior charter enforcer that had to be stopped, because of the harm they were causing to Roy West's vulnerable partner.

Stinks of collusion and corruption said...

So Roy West stands for the BNP in Dukinfield 2007 gets second place with 500 votes.
Stands again for the BNP in 2008 and gets 734 votes. Something as to be done here can't have him upsetting the gravy train.
So a plan is put in place to throw everything but the kitchen sink at him, even a prison sentence.

Fantastic research. Pass this on to the local papers. If the Advertiser will not report it the Reporter will.

Over the moon with this article, great research.

This is a good response. Let's go with TC's idea of keeping off topic comments on the "Soap box" item.

First we have car sponsorship, then window boarding up now charity and limited company directorships. Not to mention the job adverts for enforcement officers which require experience of surveillance and covert activity. I wonder sometimes whether I am living in a corporate state.

TC in comparison to the last regulator will never rattle the brick built defenses of TMBC if a tepid approach is the deal.
We have endured dozens of deliberate scandals over a period of more than 30 years which were created and originated within TMBC.
From the T.E,L. massive scandal years ago which should have brought jail terms for Councillors and their "very close"friends to the year on year exposures where concerned Tamesiders exposed the fact`s with substantiated evidence.
We Tamesider`s have witnessed corruption, deceptions, manipulations, lies, terrible greed and financial benefits behind closed doors.
Therefore it takes strong willed honest folk with evidence to participate on TC which needs to be our passport to openness, accountability and probity by a stripping away completely the despots who still prevail.
They are not fit for any public office whatsoever anywhere, and if TC is to represent democracy in the area it needs to accept its part in drastically exposing any TMBC individual who is creating serious fragmented holes in Tameside.
If you have the sole choice of subject matter then we are wasting our time trying to benefit Tameside folk.
As fast as an exposure gets through onto TC the subject matter is changed leaving exposures stranded in empty space.
TMBC Councillors and Executives must be sat rubbing their hands at what is happening, and yes I am sick as anyone at the persistent daily references to Immigrants, which those in minority groups insist on bleating daily on with their objectives in sight.
We are over populated ,Britain is a cesspit full of shit people from top to bottom but move on to how we get rid of a Tameside bunch of crap.

I take your point about sole choice of subject matter. If this blog is too succeed it must be free and open to everybody and anybody. But defamation and libellous postings risk exposing the blog to closure while off subject postings cause annoyance to those who wish to discuss the main subject. I think "The Soap box" is the answer. The soapbox is open to ANY topic or subject. in future ALL postings will be published with the exception of possibly actionable comments. Thus "a certain labour councillor is rogering his secretary" is acceptable while "Cllr John Doe is rogering his secretary" is not....unless you have pictures

Oh for crying out loud I thought we had rid of that bloody nuisance Hall once and for all but like a bad odour he is back spouting libelous nonsense about hard working local politicians.

@ Anonymous 16:24, If people want to post on local issues and/or the most important issue facing our country, mass uncontrolled immigration, they should do so and be encouraged to do so. If you find the subject boring then no doubt some find constant references to bent councillors etc tedious and chronically limited. A mix of both is what's needed.
This blog has ALWAYS had a nationalist bent. If you don't like it go elsewhere.

Why would any new charter officer or official be targeted by animal rights? Don't understand that point.

Anonymous said...

Consider this in relation to new charter housing.
Policeman arrives at Roy West's house "we've had a complaint from new charter housing of incitement to cause racial hatred."
Roy West is not arrested on the spot unusual, he's invited to go along to Ashton police station for an interview.
He is interviewed about "Just off the boat" comments on a video.
Police visit his house two weeks later to say no further action would be taken.
Then a few days later, the same policeman returns to question Roy West about filming in Ashton Town.
Of course this is just police routine not harassment.?

Tameside Citizen said...

Anon@12:51
I was not implying that anyone from New Charter was being targeted by animal rights activist. Companies House was saying that directors who were threatened by activists such as animal rights people could hide their URA. Animal rights was an example of the kind of threat that hiding the addresses would protect against.

Anonymous said...

I have a question for you TC.

Do you think that a spy working for the Searchlight organisation would also receive protection from the authorities regarding the disclosure of his/her URA on public records?

Anonymous said...

The police and new charter housing a waging psychological warfare on Roy West and his vulnerable partner.
The constant police visits are designed to have the maximum, damaging effects on mental health well being.
New charter housing started with a senior enforcer and ex-police, to apply pressure by constant visits to the West home.
These visits took their toll on the mental health of Roy West's partner.
This senior charter enforcer as since faded in to the back ground.
People at the West injunction case, will remember that this charter enforcer went into a rage in a side room.
No doubt upset at being question himself in the witness box.

Watch your mouth (name redacted)with your accusations, its time the TMBC Solicitor and the Standards Committee got a grip on you as a public servant paid for by the Electorate. If they don`t button your mouth then it will be my pleasure through other channels TC should be careful allowing a Tameside Councillor to make accusations against a Constituent to whom you repeatedly make false accusations. Do I make myself clear (name redacted) J.Hall

Doubt it. The Searchlight organisation is a magazine and charitable education trust. It has a history of running the occasional "mole" but action such as you describe would only draw attention to the "mole" in question.

I well remember a New Charter witness going into a shouting fit at the injunction hearing it was just like the scene from the bunker in "Downfall". (Oh, can I mention the war?)

I was called as a defence witness, but was not cross examined by the prosecution.

Yes tonydj I seem to remember new charter accusing you of incitement, but when you came forward to challenge their allegations they backed off.

New Charter are more than just a landlord.

Only in a rotten, stitched up, stagnant authority like Tameside could the appalling misrule re hospitals, schools, roads, persecution of 'undesirables' etc happen.
The fault lies entirely with the apathetic and/or moronic electorate who keep voting in the same self-seeking, chronically incompetent detritus.

You scratch my back...

You can't blame the entire electorate for the appalling misrule of TMBC.

Firstly, on average, only around 25% of those eligible to vote in Tameside council elections do so. Most of the other 75% think that there is no-one worth voting for. In many cases the choice is between tweedle-dum and tweedle-dee. As the late Jonathan Bowden once put it, "it's often a choice between the same s**t but with a different coloured hat on."

And in the few wards where there is a chance to vote for a radical party, many good people are put off because of the lies told about such parties by the Tameside Advertiser.

Anonymous said...

The non-voters in Tameside might simply be Labour voters who see no reason to join in given their party's dominance.

No reason at all to suppose the stay at homers wouldn't also vote Labour if any meaningful challenge arose. I recall the BNP's rise in Newton several years, which energised Labour support in the ward.

You scratch my back said...

@ Christian, I didn't blame the electorate for TMBC's appalling misrule, I blamed them for repeatedly electing them despite the vast amount of long term, consistent evidence of their 'appalling misrule', so they ARE responsible.
I know 75% don't vote, that's why I said 'the apathetic'.
A significant proprtion of the ones who can be bothered to vote, vote Labour, to suit their own agendas or because they lack the knowledge and/or intelligence to do otherwise. Labour voters in particular are certainly not bothered about the interests of improving the borough as there is a mountain of long term evidence of Tameside's decline under this wretched local political mafia.
Anyone 'put off by the lies' and not voting for other options is responsible for allowing themselves to be so.
As for the apathetic, they should take an interest in what's going on in their area and vote for either: whoever will do the most damage to the party that voter holds responsible for the borough/ward's problems and failings; or vote for the party they hate least.
Either will send a message out and both are infinitely preferable to doing nothing, which sends out absolutely no message, as the main parties already know there is mass voter apathy (locally and nationally) and don't care. Not voting simply enables a continuance of the status quo but with lower turnouts.

Has it not occurred to you that Labour keep on getting reelected because they have the best policies?

You only have to look at the smear leaflets put out about Roy West in Dukinfield, to understand that we live in a corrupt borough.
Amazing thing about it, no one gave a dam.
The police looked on, in fact joined in themselves.
The borough solicitor sat their and did nothing.
Labour Cllrs spreading vile smear leaflets for a third party, not even taking part in the election.

New charter housing and their enforcers, ex police officers are a growing menace to Freedom Of Speech.

@ Boobah, if Labour have the best policies why do only about 1200 out of the 9000 or so electorate in a ward vote for them.
The apathy party wins overwhelmingly every time.

@you scratch my back. You are wrong. You ARE blaming the entire electorate for the appalling misrule of TMBC. Re-read your post!

The fault lies mainly with those who are misruling. Your stance completely absolves those in power of blame.

It seems strange that a social housing landlord, are allowing themselves to be dragged into a blood sports debate.
It seems odd, that whoever this senior charter enforcer maybe, why would he/she want to compile a list of anti blood sports activists?
People have a human right to express their horror and disgust at the barbaric blood sports.

You scratch my back said...

@ Christian, No, re-read YOUR post. I'm blaming the electorate for repeatedly PUTTING these people in power, either by voting for them or failing to vote at all (for the party that will do the most damge to the stagnant, corrupt long term clique or unseat them, even a vote for the party you hate least sends out SOME message) so they can implement their appalling misrule.
TMBC are entirely responsible for the misrule. The electorate are entirely responsible for repeatedly putting them in office or allowing them by apathy to be so.
The ENTIRE SOURCE of the problem isn't the self-seeking chancers and incompetents in office, it's the electorate, without whose support (or apathy) potential elected representatives are utterly powerless.
You have conceded my points that the electorate are responsible for ALLOWING THEMSELVES to be put off by lies about other parties, and that the apathetic 75% should vote for the least worst option as doing nothing simply lets in the old parties on a lower turnout.

Anonymous said...

Boohoo. This all smacks of sour grapes on the part of former Tameside BNP activists who are now drinking out of sorrow's cup after having been humiliated at the ballot box. You don't vote for me I'll spit my dummy out and point the finger at those whose support wasn't won. Get over it and move on.

As far as I am aware new charter housing will have the answer.

@ Aonymous 22:25, they may have lost but they were never humiliated. They stood up for what they believed in, those representing the main parties increasingly do it for self interest.

@12:43 I would agree with that observation about Roy West. For a man that has been branded a thug racist by the corrupt Labour mafia, he's not shown any of these traits.
Consider the vile allegations by a big brute of a man.
That is of great remarkable restraint shown by Mr West.
