Does your MP want a 32% pay rise?

Thankfully two of the three Tameside MP's do not.

When asked Jonathan Reynolds said: No. I don’t think salaries should go up when there is a pay freeze. We should be linked to other equivalent jobs in the public jobs such as headteachers, and only go up if theirs do.

Andrew Gwynne: No. I don't support a rise in MPs pay. The suggestion of a 32pc increase is frankly bonkers. The average wage in my constituency is around £18,000 a year. Effectively telling people that £66,000 isn’t enough pay wouldn’t find much support on the doorsteps of Denton and Reddish.

Andrew Gwynne is correct, even the suggestion of a 32% increase is ludicrous. People are suffering genuine hardship and if they did award themselves such an outrageous pay increase it would only further alienate politicians from the electorate.

The Bearded Bolshevik from Ashton did not respond when asked so maybe he does want the pay rise. Read more at the Manchester Evening News

DM....

"A planning lawyer and self-styled 'mosque buster' claims he is fighting to stop the 'tide of Islam' by successfully blocking plans for the building of mosques across the UK.

Gavin Boby, once linked to the far-right English Defence League, boasts he has already blocked plans for 16 out of 17 mosques being built.

Under the banner of the Law and Freedom Foundation, he calls for people to come to him for free professional legal help in opposing mosque proposals and claims that Islam encourages paedophilia, sexual abuse and pimping."

All well and good (give the man a medal!), but this is merely hastening the islamisation of Britain, not resisting it. For that there'd have to be repatriation, sterilisation or forced seperation. Nevertheless, anything which p***es the left and pc mainstream off is a definite cause for a celebratory pint in my book.

Good work form Mr Boby, and certainly better than doing nothing or giving up.
