Well done George Osborne
It’s good to see common sense policies on a governmental level once again now the insanity of the Labour years are behind us. This is a bold move by Chancellor George Osborne, but a very necessary one.
There is nothing quite so perverse as listening to the chattering classes talk about their ‘right’ to child benefit. They shamelessly take this money when they do not need it while knowing full well there are true cases of hardship where child benefit really does make the difference for low income families.
If you happened to listen to the 5pm news on BBC Radio Manchester you would have heard some psychopath called Janet from a group called Gingerbread. She was arguing against Chancellor Osborne’s decision to cut child benefit for the well off. She sounded like a total selfish moron - just the type who would illegally park her £65,000 Range Rover Vogue in a disabled space outside the Post Office while she went in and collected the child benefit she did not need.
