I can never be sure if Cllr Taylor has a wicked sense of humour or is being serious. The latest header to his always informative website made me grimace and then giggle. Can a long serving Labour councillor really be an ultra Neo-Con, or is he taking the Michael out of his website viewers?It is interesting that he has images of the Israeli and Georgian flags side by side. I assume he supports the Georgian claims on South Ossetia and Abkhazia - against the will of the peoples of these two disputed regions, but what about Kosovo? A very similar situation but the American Neo-Con administration and their loyal lapdog supported the break away of this region against the will of the legitimate rulers (Serbia) so does this mean Cllr Taylor supports Serbia’s claims on Kosovo?
As for him proudly displaying an Israeli flag; surely this is wrong for a man who appears to have dedicated his life to fighting bigotry and intolerance because by all accounts the treatment meted out to the Palestinians by their Israeli ‘masters’ is nothing short of inhumane. Or maybe he proudly displays the Israeli flag to get ‘brownie points’ from his two local MP’s who are both heavily involved in the very influential pressure group The Labour Friends of Israel and of which Andrew Gwynne MP is the Chairman?
