Social Media cause of half of complaints made to the police.

Are we going soft as a nation? Or is it just a excuse to monitor the conversations of the public. The BBC, Daily Mail and others have claimed that a half of all complaints dealt with by front line officers originate 'on line''. LINK  LINK HERE

It has been stressed that it is calls to police which are 50% produced on line and not the total workload.
What we are NOT told is how they originate. Whether they are a complaint from an individual who feels threatened or a report from a professional monitor hunting for....oh how I hate this word...inappropriate  postings is rarely revealed. Invariably these postings display the current pet hate of the chattering classes....a belief that Yasmin Alibhai Brown is not the female Mandela,...a disbelief in Global warming, a suspicion that life in 1950's Britain did have some advantages over the present day, and so on. It would appear that the police are censoring and patrolling the internet to the detriment of real  policing.

That these reports now constitute half of police time dealing with complaints should be a cause for some concern. If only because it shows how many people in Britain need to "Get  a life!"

BBC pushes for diversity on air

The BBC has announced plans for greater black, Asian and minority ethnic (BAME) representation on and off air.

"The BBC should be giving talented people a chance wherever they come from," said director general Tony Hall.

The BBC will put £2.1m into a fund intended to help BAME talent, on and off screen, to develop new programmes.

BBC targets call for around one in six people (15%) on-air to be from BAME backgrounds within three years - an increase of nearly 5%.

Eradicating the indigenous white British from Britain in the name of 'diversity & equality' is what the BBC stands for so why shouldn't all the whites that work for the BBC be eradicated as well? The 'paycheck liberals' never think it applies to them for some odd reason.

I hardly watch any television these days anyway so bring it on. Worse is better, and the sooner the better as far as I'm concerned.

The way I see it the BBC is the propaganda of an occupying force. It's alien faces I see when I watch the news, Marxist ideals winning through when you see a drama and the rest of the time it's crap meant to make the middle classes feel good about themselves and morally superior for fully supporting the destruction of British blood and soil.
The BBC can cram it.

It would be interesting to know how many actual crimes or breaches of the law are investigated as opposed to just mounting "fishing expeditions" for information.

I know of a number of people who, when questioned by the police on some matter or other, have been asked about this blog.

The authorities fear the independent blogosphere. Not because of alleged violent postings or incitement to crime (These are covered by existing legislation) but because of their publishing news and reports "They" would rather remain hidden.

Hence the original question. How many investigations of Social Media are really "Fishing expeditions"?

Very good point tonydj you have first hand knowledge of this of course, one of your postings was said to be incitement by new charter housing.
What did they do? they had the chance to question you in court but backed off.

@ Alf Garnett, correct re Asian TV programmes, the same of course goes alomost universally for: corner shops, many hand car washes, petrol stations, a lot of private hire companies etc. How many Asian run petrol stations (and that's A LOT) have non-Asian employees? Answer, virtually none. But of course THAT'S not 'rayycisst'.

A word is JUST a word only a very insecure person could ever get upset over a word.
OK some words are not VERY nice like vile allegations, of a nature that could bring violence to ones family and person.

Only those that want to hide the whole truth from the readers of this blog, complain to the police.
