Soap Box---Your Say 2

Been a quiet week in Tameside politics wise. The citizen has scoured the internet, the papers and the television for things "They" don't want us to know but most of the big stories have been covered.

One thing did catch my eye, the extent to which curfews are increasingly used by the courts in Tameside. Is this justice on the cheap? Are the streets really that dangerous after dark? And to what extent are these curfews policed or checked?

Oh, something else caught my eye on the "What do they know" site. The Freedom of Information request regarding transfer of land to New Charter is due a reply by today, should be interesting. HERE

Regarding the rough police/Cossack treatment handed out to 'Pussy Riot': There'll be no outcry and much support for this action as vast numbers of ordinary Russians are traditionalists and strongly support Putin and his Nationalistic pro-Russia policies, including the ban on promoting homsexuality in schools to under 18s. It's clear the bulk of Russians have seen the way the west has gone and don't want to follow.
Despite its many problems, the essence of Russian identity is its belief in and adherence to traditional values, the normal family, patriotism, the Orthodox church etc. These are where the Russian head and heart lie. They are a people who like clear, leadership, connected to THEIR core values.
All these values are things we've abandoned in favour of: promoting degeneracy to small children, the planned destruction of the traditional family, the promotion of unfettered immigration from highly fertile and self segregating - often hostile - alien cultures, the deliberate dumbing down and politicising of our education system etc.
Many Eastern Europeans coming here are shocked at the human face of many of our major cities, expecting to see Britain, not what it is fast becoming, a multicultural dumping ground with no recognisable identity or culture.

Sorry but I don't agree there are lots of local issues, to report on. People are going to get bored with this blog.

Cone on TC have you gone bonkers? Have you not seen this weeks Advertiser article about the local snouts in troughs brigade drawing well over £1m in expenses?

Why does it take so long to get a comment published on here

Yes, you're right, there are lots of local issues to report on. I was testing the readership to see which issues they would say should be reported on. Thanks for the response, "snouts in troughs" still excites a strong reaction. I shall bear this in mind.

I would not say it takes THAT long to publish a comment

Wayne Rooney to sign new Man United contract fir £300,000 per week. Totally obscene, how anyone can support modern top flight football teams is beyond me.

It has become noticeable that the Citizen has dramatically slowed down.
With fewer articles appearing, most times no articles at all for 4 or 5 days.
Posts taking longer and longer to appear on site.
People are eager for articles on local matters and national issues.
It is important to take advantage of the Citizen's growing representation, and not to allow the blog to stagnate in this way.
Leaving the Citizen without articles for weeks at a time is poor showing.

Curmudgeons blog maybe slow to update, but his articles are hard hitting he does not shy away from taking on Labour Councillors.

Totally agree, The clubs are laughing at the mugs who tip up a good part of their earnings to aid the wage bills of these pampered overpaid prima donna's.

Football is no longer the working man's game. It's a business where those with the most money to throw at it win the trophies.

Utter rubbish. If people are stupid enough to pay over the odds out of an unthinking and idiotic loyalty to a bunch a young men kicking a ball about a field then they deserve to be ripped off. There's a good local football scene in Tameside - Hyde FC, Stalybridge Celtic, Curzon, and Ashton United. The games are more engaging and all for about a fiver right on your doorstep.

I've been reading back over some of the old articles and comment threads from when the blog started several years ago.

It is true that the blog has gone a bit stagnant in recent times, but we had the heady days of the local BNP back then. With even the local Tories fading into irrelevance there's little to say politically in Tameside other than brood on Labour's tightening stranglehold which is almost complete.

Comment moderation killed a lot of the debate off. But to be fair there was too much waffle, and simply deleting the irrelevant small talk would've been a better policy. But maybe a slower blog is what was intended to change the overall tone.

The Hydonian blog isn't bad, though it's mainly historical rather than present day. Unfortunately it's administered by some uber pc prig who has the following warning sign above the door....

"PLEASE KEEP ALL COMMENTS ON TOPIC. ALL OTHERS WILL BE REMOVED DUE TO A SMALL MINORITY POSTING ABUSIVE AND RACIST MATERIAL"

Will the old administrator of this blog note, that this blog is now being destroyed. And you should take some blame for allowing this to happen.

Anonymous said...

Give this blog back to the old administrator or someone else because it's like a death of a thousand cuts.

Anonymous said...

Sorry about some of the comments about the state of the blog.
But I'm sure the administrator is hard nosed enough to take it.
But of course, I except that they were out of order.
Frustration can be a difficult path sometimes.

Just thought I would shamelessly plug my blog, seen as how most of my handful of regular readers have likely dropped off, click on my name and go to midgardwatcher. Max Musson was too much of a wimp to post it when I sent it him, would have done his site good if he had too.

Excellent article about Tatchell and the hidden agenda. Evil monsters such as the Harperson could also be considered complicit.

Ignore the naysayers TC, they should go to Curmudgeon if they only want local issues.

If you didn't want anyone to know that you killed foxes and game birds, then why would you why would you have a pro hunting website?
With dead foxes next to dogs and guns.
Seems a bit too faced to pick on one individual against blood sports.
Strange blood thirsty people.
