I no longer regularly buy the Tameside Reporter as it seems to lack the character it had under its previous owners. One reason why I used to prefer the Reporter to the Advertiser was that it was more inclined to report news rather than hysterical propaganda directed at political dissidents with whose views their paymasters disagreed. Another good thing about the old Tameside Reporter was the excellent Curmudgeon column. Far more often than not I found myself agreeing with the rants and protestations of Curmudgeon and it is disappointing, but not surprising, that his column has been dropped by the new owners.
The good news is that Curmudgeon now has his own blog and he possesses the contacts and journalistic ability I could only dream of. He has some wonderful articles on the Tameside ruling junta and other matters. To view the excellent Curmudgeon Blog click here.

Richard III's remains should be buried in York. He would hate to be buried in Leicester.
I totally agree.
Argentina's Foreign Minister - "We will control Falklands in 20 Years"
In this he is probably right.
In 20 years time we will be too busy fighting amongst ourselves to be rushing across the globe to fight someone else.
It is strange how foreigners, especially Muslims, can see the future for Britain a whole lot clearer than our own illustrious political leaders.
Our political elite fantasise about creating a big melting pot utopia, when the reality is that they are engineering a bloodbath and civil war.
Moderates?

I expected Heyes to be all for it, he is what they call a "bear" I believe.
I think all opposition to Tameside Council should form a campaign group, with people like Curmudgeon, TC and the leaders of minority parties at it's head. It's not even about politics or ideology any more, but plain anti-corruption.
That's a great blog TC. Curmudgeon is certainly a wordsmith and has written some excellent posts.
If he not already is, I can see him becoming a big thorn in Tameside Council's backside.
