Some fantastic letters in the current issue of the Tameside Reporter. The letters pictured above (click image to enlarge) by Roger Bamford and Harry Gordon perfectly illustrate the kind of damage which can be done to our heritage and finances by a small but egotistical bunch of amateurs who believe they are right on all matters and everyone else, including experts are wrong.
The problem we face here are little dictators with more power than brains. This borough desperately needs a united opposition to these Labour barbarians who view Tameside as their own personal fiefdom.

Quite the opposite. Don't believe everything you read in the letters page of The Reporter and what TC would have you believe. The move would not be happening if all those organizations disagreed. Trust me there might be issues but the works must have had the green light from the authorities other than TMBC
In his Council tax Leaflet, Quinn says that expenditure is being cut "by another £22.2million". However, look at the figures in the back, and Total Cost of services is going UP from from £341.4M in 2011/12 to £349.3M in 2012/13.
I'm sure this can only happen Public Sector accounting. It probably means the £341 would have gone up by £30million 'inflation'. So they've deducted £22M savings and now are spending just £8M more than last year.
What a bunch of dickheads they are. Not quite as stupid though as the folks that vote for them.

I remember seven years ago a leflet came through my door. The leaflet was on behalf of an electoral candidate of great intellect, a man who cared about the interests of Tameside residents.
In it he stated that there would be no attempt at moving the war memorial should he be elected and that the threat by Tameside council to cancel the tram project was a ruse to lower costs.
He did not win the ballot, a bearded Marxist named Heyes did.
The candidate was proven right about the trams, and renewed effort has now been made to remove the war memorial I spent my college years admiring every day.
Had the people of the constituency listened to the candidate and voted for Anthony David Jones then this would be opposed by a member of parliament and a serious opposition would have crushed it.
More fool the people of Ashton and Droylsden, I pity you not for what you have inflicted upon yourselves.
You have been given chance after chance and yet the bulk of you persist in your ignorance, if you had carted about your home towns you would have voted for the BNP in the local and general elections, but you did not and now you have to lie in the bed you have made.
On a side note, I still have the leaflet on my wall. Been there since I got it, one of the first things that got me interested in Nationalism.
Were it not for that and my sympathy and respect for a maligned and slandered historical figure I may have been a very different and confused person.

West deserves out pity. He is no criminal yet he is looking at certain jail. When I was a nipper the teachers used to tell us when someone called you names just tell them "sticks and stones may break your bones but names will never hurt you". That is when Britain was a sane country. We now have a country where a foolhardy but honest man is persecuted worse than any common criminal because he supposedly calls someone a name. I feel ashamed to be British.
It's a shared wall, but how can someone that kills 20 to 30 foxes during the winter months, get so upset about a pot with Poppies on a wall.

The fact of the matter is; even if you did call a grown adult a name, I don't understand how you can be arrested and jailed for it. It is total madness and is beyond belief. The lunatics are truly running the mad house once called Britain. All they have to do is insist you did call him a bratwurst eater or what ever and you will be in the clink again. You ought to complain to the head of police and get some legal advice too.

The police are also going to have to explain to the court, why they failed to take a witness statement from my partner when the called at our home.

Two years ago a man from Hyde used the word paki in front of a police officer.
The police officer said use that word again and I'll arrest you.

That is pure hearsay. If someone could be arrested for abbreviating Pakistani to Paki then they could also be arrested for abbreviating Australian to Aussi or Turkish to Turk. Our civilization is built on free speech and free speech includes telling people you do not like them in any manner you choose as long as you do not threaten physical violence. You could have a very strong case for wrongful arrest and imprisonment if what you say can be verified.

If someone was discussing the slave trade with black people and enquired about the origin of the word nigger they could be arrested. Not for using the word, but because the New Labour lunatics changed the law so that if anyone who hears someone use a word and decides they find it offensive, no matter how obviously harmless the context might be, it is classed as a racially motivated offence for which you could be arrested and charged.
In other words an unhinged, chronically oversensitive person could call the police, say they were offended by you using the word nigger and you could be arrested.

If the case were to be heard in front of a jury I would agree with Serpent Slayer, but it is in a magistrates and many magistrates are appointed because of their PC credentials. If Roy West was up on a charge of paedophilia or violent robbery they may be prepared to give him a fair hearing but when you appear in front of the bench on a charge of heresy, and anything linked to racism is a modern form of heresy in the eyes of The Establishment, and as a result he will be dealt with harshly, but he must stand his ground.
