Job Vacancy

British Gas Customer Service Advisor - Manchester

It seems to me that some contributors to the scintillating debate which is occasionally to be found on this blog have rather a lot of time on their hands. This may be because they are amongst the millions of other people in this country who are struggling to find work.

After reading an online article in one of the daily ‘red top’ newspapers on this subject I searched for local job vacancies with reputable companies which pay an acceptable wage. I found a customer services job with British Gas which would suit anyone with a basic knowledge of IT and a little bit of common sense.

The job involves dealing with customer queries, resolving customer issues and identifying future issues before they become a problem, the ability to sell insurance services to existing customers is also required.

Anyone capable of switching on their computer and figuring how to post a comment on a blog like this would have the very basic levels of IT skills required, the rest involving bespoke computer programmes would be taught should you get the job.

Other than that, if you posses a decent telephone manner, patience and common sense, why not apply for the job by clicking here?

The problem is, if you sit on your arse in social housing and say you're 'depressed' an 'alcoholic' or one of the other 'conditions' that have massively proliferated in the last fifteen years (New Labour anyone) you'll receive the equivalent of more than £17,000 a year. Everything's paid for and, crucially, you don't have to do anything for it. If you work a 40 hour week - and this applies even more if you're earning the paltry minimum wage - you will be doing it for LESS than you'd get for doing nothing.
The only solutions are to cut welfare and use the money saved to increase the minimum wage. Also, good quality social housing should be given to WORKERS and the GENUINELY deserving, i.e. not scroungers, those with self inflicted problems or the army of welfare witches with their hordes of little chav bastards. The parasite brigade should be moved into cheap hostels and given minimum food stamps, clothing coupons etc. The problem is all these dregs are for some reason allowed to vote (despite contributing and INTENDING TO contribute nothing), and there are a lot of them. In fact they and their local state funded protectors are Labour's core vote/supporters in some of Britain's biggest s**tholes, like Liverpool, Newcastle, Manchester etc.
The 'pride in work' attitude is now something to be exploited by the government who see such people as mugs giving them their money to waste on whichever pet causes, or piles of human dross they want to. There is no pride in being taken for a mug.

The official measure of poverty has drawn increasingly large numbers of workers in whilst the proportion of non-workers has diminished. This is because of the rocketing cost of living and plummeting wages, combined with increased benefits (Mr Clegg has just secured a 5% increase). So now you can be exploited, sorry work, or sit on your arse and be better off. Guess why massive and increasing numbers are doing the latter. As Basil Fawlty said, 'Specialist Subject, the bleeding obvious.'
Unfortunately it's SO obvious a lot of highly educated people can't see it or don't have the spine or will to do anything about it. And they're running the country.

Mr Taylor will you read this document. It relates to a legal issue concerning the role of Deputy Leader of a major Metropolitan Borough.
Oh so you don't understand that word. And that word. And that word. And that word. And that word. And that word. And that word. And that word. And that word. And that word. And that word. And that word. And that word. And that word. And that word. And that word. And that word. And that word.
OK, so now can we move on to page two.

“No stronger retrograde force exists in the world.” — Winston Churchill on the religion of Islam.

Husbands living in a “harem” with multiple wives have been cleared to claim state benefits for all their different partners.

A Muslim man with four spouses – which is permitted under Islamic law – could receive £10,000 a year in income support alone.

He could also be entitled to more generous housing and council tax benefit, to reflect the fact his household needs a bigger property.

Ministers have decided that, even though bigamy is a crime in Britain, polygamous marriages can be recognised formally by the state – provided they took place overseas, in countries where they are legal.

The outcome will chiefly benefit Muslim men with more than one wife. more

Thread diversion of the week!

Just buy them from somewhere else then, it isn't difficult.

Your complaint will be filed in the bin.

Are Tesco more likely to be interested in your whinging or your cash? Why give them both?

Applied and I await my rejection letter. It took near enough one hour and a half hours to apply in total.

Some companies have very big opinions of themselves and how much people care about companies they work for.

We do not exist to offer near religious support to every parasitical capitalist company that deems us fit enough to be their wage slave. The corporate mindset is baffling.

If you put that last paragraph in your application, the job's as good as yours Snake!

The poster @20.46 is right to complain. Printer ink is a total rip off. There is a place which does remanufactured ink cartridges opposite B&Q in Hyde. You should go there in future as it is a lot cheaper.

SS, that is increasingly right. But if you ever get a job you'll be better placed to pick up more information on the subject.

You'll also be better off financially than you are now.

Tatlor gets two pages of 'anti' letters in this week's Advertiser in response to one of his cretinous letters.
He'd be better heeding the old adage, 'Better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.'

Should be 'Taylor' not 'Tatlor' with a silent W.

Hey TC, you have found the perfect solution to keeping the Dukinfield pest off this blog. You have made a blog entry about job vacancies and the pest is nowhere to be seen. We all knew he was workshy and this has proven it.

My rejection email came first thing this morning. Not enough experience, I suppose talking on phones and typing things on a computer is beyond people who belong to the lesser known high IQ societies.

What makes it worse is that I know with almost certainty that both the recruiter and the person who gets it will be less intelligent and have a smaller work ethic than mine.

I've seen it time and time again. The worst thing is, I'm not the only one, there are millions let down by an economy built on consumerism and usury.

The values of our society are difficult to stomach. Everything is materialistic, we are told to aspire to nothing more than materialistic wealth and decadent hedonistic pleasures.

All that matters, family life, physical fitness, love, morality hard work, kindness towards others, is lacking from our society. Everything is based on greed and profits. I feel that anybody who has lived in our modern world will take many millenia to cleanse their souls in the afterlife. To live in this filth and cross the rainbow bridge safely is highly unlikely.

I have had to delete a few posts for the use of gratuitous foul language, racial epithets and silly talk about extermination. Some people must have watched too much Dr Who when young to have such an obsession with the Daleks and their favourite saying exterminate exterminate exterminate.

Tameside Citizen said...

I’m sorry to hear about that Serpent Slayer. You could do worse than re-apply for the position but instead of using your own name call yourself Mohamed Udin or something equally as exotic and see if you get to the interview stage rather being dismissed out of hand. Keep all the other details including qualifications and experience the same or very similar and if you do get further than you did when applying in your own name you may have a case for suing on the grounds of racial discrimination.

With or without them said...

It's unfair to delete my posts because they mention selective extermination.
The Daleks wanted to exterminate or enslave anyone who threatened their quest for dominance. However, humans exterminating those who by their behaviour: criminal; parasitic; slothful; self-inflicted sufferers of 'conditions' such as drug addiction etc, instantly removes all the harm, trouble and expense they can inflict on decent people and society over, in many cases, decades. It also sends out an absolutely clear deterrent message about what is unacceptable behaviour. In my view NOT to exterminate such people is 'immoral'.
I did like the 'old' Dr Who, and Daleks that could be programmed to selectively exterminate on the above grounds could be very useful.

Would that be allowed TC?

It seems rather terrible the way that deceit is almost a pre-requirement to live a normal life.

I every area of life it seems that an honest soul and good intent are worth about as much as a promise from a politician. Our women respond only to manipulation, employers respond only to sycophantic grovelling and our population respond only to false promises.

It seems this age is an intolerable one, where a man cannot express his feelings or beliefs without being persecuted by the state or treated as a pariah by others.

How long will it be before we remove the source of this most twisted evil from every seat of power and influence?

The most holy form of settlement can only be along the lines of what my fellow Doctor Who fan suggested, straight forward destruction and confrontation.

In war and violence, there is no cruel deceit only expressions of martial prowess and huntsmanship. It is what I long for, a world that is pure and righteous. A world where the warrior and the hunter can spit on the corpse of the trickster and a fraud.

Until then it seems I will have to be a soul trapped in the worst possible corner of space and time. I long for the day I can make this world worthy of the next generation of young aryans, who will be free of the vices and exposure to wickedness possessed of their parents.

Stop talking nonsense about 'the soul', it doesn't exist, unless you can tell us what it consists of. The latter is the definiton for everything that DOES exist and for which there is information available to demonstrate it scientifically. Even things you can't see, ike thoughts, re created inside the brain byelectro-chemistry.
Mankind is trying to make essential scientific and rational progress yet some people prefer comfortable fantasy.
Stick to some of your cultural and racial comments, at least they have some basis in reality.

SerpentSlayer said...

The soul is our essence, in a sense you could say it manifests in every part of us. I suppose our brain is the most obvious place it can be found. I find that my brain is very different to everybody else I know, it has a spirit and tenacity which I have rarely experienced outside of myself. I have found no genetic reasoning.

Science still claims we are descended from apes, despite not having the missing link, that we are all one race because the bulk of archaelogical evidence points to the fossil preserving sands of Africa. They run away with theories and ideas without proving them.

This knowledge is ancient and proven by experience. Science may catch up with mythology one day and we will understand it better but until then I prefer to maintain my multifold beliefs.

Consistency said...

We are descended from apes and with every relevant find more detail is uncovered. There is no ONE missing link, but a series of creatures which demonstrate our evolution from apes into what we are know.
As homo sapiens we are all one race but the movement of one branch to the north of Europe in particular, which was far colder and more difficult to survive in, caused a massive acceleration in the development of the cerebral cortex and consequently intelligence ans success as a sub-species.
Some of your previous posts regarding culture and race demonstrate that you are a fundamentally intelligent and free thinking (I presume young) man. Don't waste that intelligence on groundless but comforting fantasies.
