Life is hard for the Denton Buzzard

Excuse the poor quality of some the images as they were taken a great distance from the action but if you take the trouble to click and enlarge them you will see Denton’s resident buzzard being harried by a jay and attacked by a crow.

I was walking on the grazing pastures close to Hyde Hall in Denton today when I watched this drama unfold. I found it quite a surprise because I assumed the buzzard was the top feathered predator in that neck of the woods. I have observed the crows chasing away a heron, but I did not think a single crow would have the front to attack a larger bird like a buzzard - but as Bucks Fizz once said - the camera never lies.

legal action is threatened by several councils after leaked document shows the ConDems have fixed the savage cut so that Labour councils are hit the hardest.

Nothing looks good with a BNP banner on it, anyway I hear that Local right wing nut case Billington joined the Labour party this week.
