I would ask this question, first of all sorry new charter housing, I don't see what my views on fox hunting has to do with housing policy. Anyway my question, Is it legal to flush out the fox to be shot? Is it just a bit of fun?

At least he gives vixens the opportunity to raise their young in peace during "closed" season.

HUNTING WITH DACHSHUNDS

We live close to moorland and local farmers will often ask us to help them clear their barns of rats or to get the dogs to find and flush any troublesome foxes, to the gun. Dachshunds are not terriers and do not hunt like terriers, neither do they hunt like a pack of foxhounds, their role is not to chase, corner and kill. Their role is to use their nose and their bravery to find and flush foxes to the gun, at the request of farmers or landowners, who have a problem. The aim is not for the dogs to get into combat or to put themselves in danger. As in Germany, we observe a "closed" season, to give vixens the opportunity to raise their young in peace. In Germany, Bernd was required to pass long and stringent examinations (Die Jägerprüfung) so that is the code of ethics we adhere to. The controlling of foxes is required to retain balance and to preserve and maintain wildlife as a whole. Preservation is at the forefront of our minds and this is borne out by ongoing studies that prove the flourishing of species such as ground nesting birds, where foxes are moderately controlled. The fox has no natural predator so it sometimes becomes necessary to prevent an area becoming overrun with foxes, in order to ensure other species are not decimated. Natural instinct helps the dogs to find and flush vermin, which would be completely unscentable to us. A dogs nose can separate smells and identify them individually. For example, we will smell a stew cooking, whereas a dog would smell, carrots, meat, onions and stock.

A thoroughly dishonest, insincere and hypocritical pile of cant. Why is foxhunting the only form of animal cruelty Labour wish to draw attention to.
Quite pathetic and incredible given the current desperate economic situation, and the other extremely serious issues facing Britain such as mass immigration, law and order and the breakdown of civilised values and standards.

Roy West said...

A.H. Lawton I agree that this issue seems very small to the Multi-Cultural hell hole we are now living in. I can understand people thinking this way, but it's a moral question is it a genuine case of pest control, or just the thrill of the kill for those killing the fox?

"an issue for all of us" - who is he kidding? Good to see the Labour Councillors are really in touch with what matters for Tameside residents. What a tosser!

John Taylor is sincere in his belief that fox hunting is evil. He knows Halal is also evil but his UAF mates would wash their hands of him so he puts left wing ideology before animal welfare.

Keep up the good work John

Taylor is against fox hunting fair enough, but why did he meet the thug that forced a family out of their home? I will say that in my reply letter to thee letters page. Won't hold my breath that they will publish my reply.

Mr Cooke, what the hell does your leader actually stand for? He states that he's not much of a politician, then says he's happy with the number of immigrants now in Britian.

Thats why Mr Cooke the FAKE UKIP candidate in Tameside is so fixed on West and his benefit, yet he never mentions what taxpayers are paying out to foreigners.

British child benefit paid to foreign children living abroad has rocketed by an astonishing 72 per cent in just nine months, to £33million a year.

Notice John Cooke (UKIP) Never gets hot under collar about these figures, because he's Searchlight.

In the last six years a staggering 169,000 immigrant workers claimed unemployment benefit within six months of getting a National Insurance number.

Last year alone, 21,160 lodged claims within six months - costing taxpayers £1.4MILLION a week.

The shock new figures from the Department of Work & Pensions will fuel fears that..

The shock new figures from the Department of Work & Pensions will fuel fears that..
....thousands of immigrants come here to take advantage of our generous welfare state
And they shatter claims that immigrants only move to the UK
to do the jobs nobody else wants to carry out.

Sir Andrew Green, of campaign group Migration Watch, blasted: "This is appalling.

"The government should explain who these people are and why they're able to claim benefits without having paid a penny into the system."

The ministry's figures reveal that last year 15,280 foreign nationals claimed jobseekers' allowance within six months, a weekly drain of £982,504 on taxpayers.

A further 2,570 claimed incapacity or disablement allowances - despite applying less than six months earlier for an NI number to work. These payments would cost £205,986 a week.

And 3,310 claimed income support, giving a weekly bill of £212,833.

Last year 590,000 new arrivals came to the UK.
And 'ministers admit they've no idea how many

illegal immigrants are already here' but estimates place the number at a million. Britain's total benefits bill is £187billion a year but, incredibly, the government does NOT record the number of immigrants currently being paid.
