Labour has held the Longdendale Ward for 30+ years, so we know we have a fight on our hands.
Despite Labour repeatedly telling us what a great job they are doing, it seems just a little scratch on the surface of any story is enough to reveal that not everything is quite as glossy as they would have us believe.
We've been putting leaflets out for several months, (ask Roy Oldham for confirmation!) so it is not just a web-based campaign.

I think that you will find that Longdendale candidate is on his own. The younger generation of Tories have taken over and John bell and Doreen are furious that these little whipper snappers are really ready for the fight.

We are standing in all Stalybridge wards. Our only doubt is Dukinfield Mr Cooke has vetoed any candidate standing against Roy West,unless it is himself.The fear of intimidation, obscene phone calls etc tends to put candidates off. After his comments to johns other half Mr West should be careful.

Sorry to disappoint you UKIP - but I have just returned from a weekend away and I have not deleted any posts. Users who are registered with Google have the capability to delete their own posts from sites like this. However, I am minded to delete some of the posts above yours because in my opinion they are libelling an elected councillor.
On the rare occasions I do delete posts I always explain why I have deleted them. Almost every time it is down to at least one of these three things; foul and abusive language, repetitive duplicate posts or malicious rumour spreading against a named individual. I certainly would not delete a post because a political party was and named shamed - only named individuals.
OK fair enough I will admit to jumping in a little too fast.
As this is an anonymous blog, will you tell us how you have voted in local and general elections for the last ten years? The normal caveats still apply, nobody will ever know who you are, you do not need to mention candidates, just parties.
