I have always liked Jamaican food and I was eager to try Soul Food which has just opened in Denton - until I saw the queue. Anyone who regularly visits authentic West Indian food shops will know they are notoriously slow and laid back which means a relatively short queue like the one in the picture could easily equate to a 45 minute wait. It isn’t good for you - and it isn’t vegetarian but if you want something which is delicious and satisfying most ‘soul food’ establishments serve excellent fried chicken with rice & peas* and curry sauce. Has anyone reading this tried the new Soul Food in Denton and if so what’s the verdict?
*the peas are kidney beans rather than peas in the traditional sense.

I tried some West Indian 'cake' once. Absolutely awful and so cloying and oversweetened it made me heave.

No more Chinese takeaways,Kebab shops, Curry houses, or Pizza parlours. Most of the convenience/ off-licence stores would close at four pm as well.

I have personal views on Halal, which sometimes get put to one side. I also enjoy Veal and Foie Gras although I disagree with the production method. I doubt there are many things as cruel as trawling fish and letting them suffocate, Yet I still eat Fish and chips.I have no idea what our policy on Halal is, but I will find out in the next few days.
Our immigration policy is to freeze immigration for five years, with the proviso that we will allow work permits for skill shortages of a fixed duration, and also some(not many) asylum seekers.
In our view race religion or work ethic, should have no impact under these circumstances, If they have trained,qualified and got a job offer in this country what else matters?

Trawling and foie gras are covered under British law and EVERYONE is treated the same. Halal is deliberate animal cruelty, every long term scientific study has established it causes much greater, and totally unnecessary suffering which is WHY it is banned. If a British slaughterman does it he gets prosecuted, Muslim and Jewish slaughtermen do not. The law is supposed to be blind and impartial and institutionalised preferential treatment for vocal and rapidly growing, alien minority cultures is unsustainable, unfair and a recipe for future chaos and division. ALL the establishment Parties, including UKIP, skirt round any issues such as this, particularly when dealing with Islam. This is Britain, not a multicultural experimental area, and people and cultures coming here should adopt and abide by our ways, customs and laws. UKIP is a group that wants to safeguard our independence but not our identity, as that would involve confronting too many difficult and unpopular problems.
I assume failure to deny means you'd take the Poles. Unless deliberately taking groups you KNOW are less likely to have a good work ethic and integrate are now UKIP policies. Highly qualified individuals are a different and easier matter to comment on because contentious issues about the general or likely behaviour of 'groups' of people can be avoided. Ethnicity plays a part in the behaviour of a group, insofar as how the average member of that group acts, a possibly racially/culturally based statement but not prejudicial or 'racist' in the PC sense of the word, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with selecting immigrants, when talking about large numbers, on these grounds.
