Mohammed Parvez was within his rights as the law stands to refuse selling the morning after pill. This case is not unique, a video of a similar case in Rotherham can be viewed here. Tameside Citizen

Man convicted for racially abusing Muslim pharmacist
A man has been convicted of racially abusing a Muslim pharmacist who refused to supply his partner with the morning-after pill. Mohammed Parvez said his decision was based on moral and ethical grounds and made under guidelines set by the Royal Pharmaceutical Society. Unemployed Chris Mellett, 29, of Sale, looked shaken when he was found guilty at the end of an adjourned trial at Tameside magistrates' court. He was fined £175, ordered to pay £160 towards costs and the £15 victim surcharge. He had gone to the pharmacy at Sainsbury's, Ashton under Lyne, with his partner, her 17-year-old son and five-year-old daughter to get the pill and buy Sunday lunch in May. Alternative arrangements were made for Mellett to pick up the morning-after pill from another chemist in Denton but he directed a torrent of abuse towards Mr Parvez. He told the Manchester-born pharmacist, who is of Asian origin to `shut your mouth you black b*****d'. Mellett then went to complain to duty manager David Lawrence and told him: `If I was in his country, I would kneel on a mat and bow east. "In this country, he should obey our rules'. Mr Lawrence had earlier told the hearing Mellett made other offensive comments and that he considered him the most racist customer he had dealt with in 20 years. Mellett was arrested at his then home in Droylsden by CID officers nearly two weeks after the incident, which received widespread publicity. He was later charged with a racially-aggravated public order offence, which he denied. Mellett said he was bewildered by the pharmacist's decision, he never called him black and did not use any other racist language. His former partner, Miss Walsh, said she saw Mellett after he had spoken to the pharmacist and he appeared calm. She said: "When he said what had happened, I just said `I can't believe it'. "I said OK, let's go and get the chicken, which was for Sunday dinner."She got the pill the following day from another pharmacist. Chairman of the magistrates Nina Lees said: "All the words used by Mr Mellett were born out of Mr Mellett being refused the morning-after pill for his partner. Those words caused alarm and distress." One of the arguements used in support of the ban on BNP members being Policemen, council workers , civil servants etc is that they will allow their opinions to interfere with their duties.
Yet here we have a Mohammedan allowing his opinions to interfere with his duties. And being allowed to do it.
If you consult the Royal Pharmacutical Society Register you learn that their are FOUR people named PARVEZ who are registered as Pharmacists, one in Liverpool, one in Glasgow and TWO living in STALYBRIDGE...Mr Mohammed Umran Parvez and Mrs Saiqa Parvez.
They live together in a detatched house worth £200+ off Huddersfield Road.
Now, aren't there restrictions on what strict Muslims may do or not do? Is Mohammed happy that Saiqa does a job which even he objects to doing at times?
What price the "Muslim Values" of this couple?
Dear Roy its time we made up, it is the festive season and I would like to invite you and your fellow fascist round for some Christmas dinner.
I have been across the water to get some instructions and advice on a few local matters, nipped across the border and have secured some of their prime pork joints some huge pork chops and a couple of pounds of pork sausages.
Call round with your fascist mates for feast I will serve them to you all as a gesture of goodwill.
Hey Westy wheres our Christmas cards this year had one from labour last night and my mam and dad had theirs on Boyd's Walk yesterday.
Looks like your slipping behind with your campaign get all those members out you have recruited in Dukinfield to help you.
Roy, this is what really pisses me off about you. Why should you get benefits when you squander it on political campaigning? I get up for work at 5:30 so I can catch the train to Leeds at 7:30. I then pay a higher rate of tax too, just so I can support you and your wife. I thought the BNP was all for survival of the fittest? You would be first up in the chambers boyo!
The DWP are hounding single parents to get into work, yet you doss around all day spouting crap on this and other blogs. You complain that Cllr. John Taylor is making a career of politics, and you are doing what? Your life seems to revolve anything but. Again it is this welfare state run by the Labour government which you hate, yet you enjoy the cash benefits on offer. This shows hypocrisy and weakness of the BNP.
Roy West, try a propped days graft, you lazy bone idle bastard.
Roy, you can't come back can you? All you can do is make personal jibes about ones sexuality. As if I am really that bothered when the insult comes from a backward inbred such as yourself.
Yes Roy, you tell us you hate gravy train riders, but you ride the state gravy train in claiming all these benefits. Get back to work you lazy fuck.
No ifs, no buts. Benefit fraud is a crime. Purnell and his cronies will soon be knocking on your door.
I went to Sainsbury's on Saturday and I saw Mr. Parvez hiding away behind a screen. I bet there is some compo in line for the chap. What did make me laugh was that the pharmacy counter was selling condoms. Perhaps this is what Chris Mellett should of used in the first place.
In this week's PRAVDATISER it is claimed in a correction that Mr Paevez acted on MORAL and ETHICAL grounds and not RELIGIOUS grounds.
Does this invalidate the prosecution?
