If there is one thing that would drive even the most patient people to radical action surely this has to be it. All around Greater Manchester these mobile advertising hoardings are being abandoned outside peoples houses close to busy junctions. The top image is of the one dumped on the A57 opposite Denton Club, the other is on the A34 in Gatley. I strongly suspect the ‘rogue’ kitchen company from Oldham is behind this form of cheapskate advertising. The Manchester Evening News have featured this company many times, however I assumed the M.E.N. were hounding them due to the fact it was founded by a successful working class lad done well, however, I think the M.E.N. campaign may have been justified after all.
What would you do if you got up one day and discovered one of these advertising hoardings had been dumped outside your house?

Are the attatched to the cars? If not then wheel them away to somewhere less visible. Like a private car park WHICH OPERATES A WHEEL CLAMPING SCHEME. Tell the owner where it is so that you can't be accused of theft. Let two unpleasant types argue it out, this guy and the clampers
Keep ringing the phone number at inconvenient hours.
On the other hand use the law
The Highways Act 1980
Section 137 makes it an offence to wilfully obstruct passage of a highway. The penalty for such an offence is a maximum of a level 3 (£1,000) fine.
This legislation is already enforced by North East Lincolnshire Council’s Planning and Highways Enforcement team but in proving an offence under this part of the Highways Act it is necessary to prove the element of wilfulness in the commission of this offence. Wilfulness infers a degree of recklessness, which is often difficult to prove, or is an element that is missing when finding vehicles parked in the street that are potentially causing an obstruction.
Section 149 makes it an offence to deposit anything on the highway that might constitute a nuisance.
Whilst this part of the Highways Act can be used for enforcement against people selling and repairing cars in the street. It would more normally be used for such matters as vehicles depositing mud on the road, or defecation on the highway by animals.
The Town and Country Planning Act 1990
This legislation is aimed at persons who are running a business from home or who are potentially causing the change of use of a part of the highway by parking, selling or repairing vehicles on that part of the road.
To prove a change of use of a part of the highway under this Act, it would need to be proved that a particular part of that highway was being constantly used by an offender for the purposes of sale or repair of vehicles, and effectively the use of the highway for which it was intended was compromised or had ceased altogether
THE ABOVE IS FROM A LOCAL GOVERNMENT WEB-SITE AND ALTHOUGH IT MENTIONS CAR SALES IT APPLIES TO ANY BUISNESS CARRIED OUT ON THE HIGHWAY THEREBY PRENTING THE HIGHWAY FROM BEING USED AS A HIGHWAY.
Yeah you go and buy one of these advertising boards Roy me and my mates will go and do some extra overtime for the rest of the year to pay for it.
Try getting off your arse and doing some work instead of sponging off the state who pay for all your so called campaigns
Hey Tory Boy, what overtime's that then?
you one of these ten-bob-millionaires who park shitty "A" boards like this one everywhere?
Or one of the dodgey building firms who rip-off OAP'S?
Or the real scum, a clamper?
Possibly you are a real worker who does a real job.... put us in the picture please.
