I cannot think of any justifiable reason why the editor of the anti-Fascist publication Searchlight would be invited to a Tameside district assembly meeting. DA’s are supposedly non political, so if Cllr Taylor’s information is correct and the Searchlight head honcho has indeed been invited I would be interested to know the reason why. I am likely to be away on Tuesday and am curious to know if he turns up and if he does – what does he actually say if anything. Is anyone who reads this blog going?

Well Taylor is a law on to himself don't you know?
All is quiet on the Dukinfield DA front. I was expecting a response from the local BNP contingent. Maybe the presence of Mr Lowles at the DA has frightened them from attending?
Local BNP far to busy knocking the shit out of each other I am told, we will be there, there are rules on politics being used at DA meetings.
Explain the rules to Taylor.
Another Tameside blog turns to digitally altering images.
Extra security ordered for D A meeting.
I feel I must help clear up the confusion over 'Nick Knowles'. A conversation by The chairman of the BNP, Nick Griffin, was overheard (or to put it more accurately, misheard) one night by Gerry Gable. Gerry got the wrong end of the stick and thought Nick was talking about one of his own. In fact Mr. Griffin was discussing the musician, Nick Lowe. He was a member of an early 70's pub rock band, Brinsley Schwarz. Mr. Gable thought he'd hit the jackpot and that Brinsley Schwarz was an officer of the Weirmacht. At last, a connection between the BNP and the Nazi's. Unfortunately not. Mr. Schwarz was merely a muscian. He later went on to join Graham Parker and the Rumour. Surrender to the Rhythm was a particular favourite of mine.
Nick did frighten the BNP off none of them turned up and Nick was delayed.
