James Purnell on immigration

There is something about James Purnell that does not make him instantly dislikeable like most Labourite traitor politicians.

Just what is holding Purnell up? There has been talk of this for years. This immigrant policy was brought in by a Conservative government in Australia. Another Conservative policy for Purnell.

I seem to remember in Australia it was brilliant Conservative PM John Howard who introduced such measures. The original Aussie battler, gone but by no means forgotten.

The Canadian government uses a similar system. Maybe if Purnell were to become PM we might have it too.

Australia will be sorry they voted in Kevin Rudd. John Howard is a legend.

I couldn't fathom why Australians voted in Kevin Rudd when they had the best economic prospects in the world, some of the toughest immigration policies and a law and order system that actually works. All of this was achieved by John Howard and his government.

John Howard is indeed a legend, and history will record him as such. We need someone like him here to drag us out of the mess created by New Labour.

James Purnell's only stealing Conservative policies from either the UK, Australia or Canada because he knows they strike a chord with the public. First there was his pronouncement on workfare and now this. When will this opportunistic political chameleon give it a rest and admit the last 11 years were a stupid mistake?
