The leaflet at the top of this post was distributed throughout the Dukinfield ward today – May 1st. The leaflet has been condemned as illegal because it contains no imprint information. I am informed that Mr West’s party intend to make a formal complaint to the police and electoral commission. They allegedly have video evidence taken from a motion detecting camera of one of the culprits distributing this leaflet. Also pictured is a house displaying this alleged illegal leaflet in close proximity to the shocking Labour smear leaflet distributed a couple of weeks ago. Finally, Mr West had what could be described as an insulting letter distributed ‘free’ with the Tameside Advertiser. The note about “Hatered” was hidden in the newspaper. The spelling on this mischievous leaflet was poor; who do we know in Dukinfield with similar poor spelling?I personally find all this illegal activity and intimidation disappointing. From what I have seen of Mr West’s election material it has been above board and legal. If I had the opportunity to vote in Dukinfield I would vote West if for no other reason than to show the sleaze merchants in the local Labour mafia that their behaviour is truly dragging the political process into the gutter.

I personally know the person to which you are referring, she is a good Tameside citizen doing numerous amounts of weekly voluntary service within Tameside and she is also a full time student trying to better herself. Her children do NOT hang around the local area on the streets like many but actively participate in numerous social activities. She keeps herself to herself and does not bother anyone, since Mr West moved on to the street he has used various reasons to try and intimidate her and entice her into disagreements. Her children are mixed race but Mr West seems to have more of an issue with her Black Dog who occasionally is tied up in her front garden while her children play on the climbing frame. Mr and Mrs West think it is ok to excessively swear as the dog barks. The fact that Mr and Mrs West and family continually pass by, whilst the dog is out, makes the dogs barking more excessive. The leaflets were posted into this person's post box last week, being a believer of ‘rights’ she posted them in her window as it is her 'right' to do so. Whoever entered her garden did not have a 'right' to do so. Now the election is over the posters will be removed but I have no doubt, next year, if more are posted and she believes in them, she will stick them up in her window again, for the world to see what she believes in.

No name is on it, and the address is not the address of an Agent. Therefore it is a "Third Party" leaflet. Legal, but not attributable to a candidate.

Already started to post new leaflets to residents in Duki. Leaflets for Duki/Staly being constructed big push in that area needed.
We have video footage of a suspect caught delivering the illegal leaflet and I can confirm that they are connected to the Labour Party. Petty as it may seem; we have employed the services of a commercial forensic laboratory to lift finger prints from the leaflet. When the results arrive we will be handing over our evidence to the Electoral Commission and other agencies. If the authorities take no action on what we consider to be overwhelming evidence of Labour tampering with the democratic process we will have to look at alternate action.
To the casual observer this may appear petty beyond belief, but the reality of what the Labour Party is doing should come as a wake up call to everyone involved in the democratic process. You may think the BNP deserve this because they are just interested in “causing division and spreading racist lies”, but put aside your anti-BNP prejudice and look at the wider picture. We have a government in power with totalitarian beliefs. They have dragged our country into two illegal wars (three if you consider the arrack on Serbia) against the will of the people. They have undermined the democratic process to such a degree that large parts of the electorate have lost faith in voting in elections and they are prepared to blatantly cheat in a local election because they feel they are above the law and can get away with almost anything.
