Can anyone recommend a non-Halal curry house?

I have the urge for curry and really don’t feel up to cooking. Can anyone recommend a decent curry house or restaurant in Tameside that serves non Halal food? I must put this disclaimer in to prevent accusations of RACISM or ISLAMOPHOBIA. My quest for non Halal curry has got absolutely nothing to do with not liking Muslims or using Halal as an excuse to whip up anti-Muslim feelings. It is simply because my conscience bars me from consuming Halal meat because of the cruelty involved.

This is the problem Abdul. I lack the will power to become vegetarian, but your meat products are Halal.

Well one day all of Britain's food will be Halal so you might as well get use to it.

I fear you may be right on that score Abdul and on that note I will sign off and trot along to Tesco in my quest for curry.

im interested to know - and this is an honest question - in what way is killing chicken the halal way any more cruel than killing chicken. they are both bled to death and are both dead at the end of the process

I would be interested to know if Cllr Taylors known love of animals expressed by his opposition to Fox-hunting extwnds to objecting to Halal and other ritual slaughter of animals?

Or is it a casse of "If foxhunting had been introduced into the UK by a new ethnic community he would vote for Tameside to provide Red Coats ('Hunting Pinks')on the Rates"?

Anon - halal is a vile form of animal torture. Not content with killing the pure creature, the halal method makes the animal suffer first as a religeous sacrifice.

I'm not racist but I would rather not eat Halal meat. The animals are slaughtered in a much crueler way than English traditional methods. It just shows how evil religion can be.
