More of Tameside’s green open spaces to be ‘developed’?

An interesting disposal of land proposal with regards to the land off Matley Lane on the Hyde/Stalybridge border. I wonder what the buyer of this 5.73 acre plot will use it for? 150 new homes perhaps!

The relentless ‘concreting over’ of Britain continues. Will the woolly liberals and fake environmentalists ever wake up and work out the answer to this simple equation: mass immigration = more people, more people = more houses, more houses = less ????

Another Indian Takeaway?

Close - but not quite correct. Anyone else have any clue as to what the answer is?

New Labour would rather concrete over all of our countryside than
stop immigration.

If you want the easy life, stop reading now. Defeating a road building scheme is a bit of a slog. You’ll need to spend many hours poring over documents, collecting petition signatures, fundraising, searching the internet, working with the media and sending hundreds of emails.

However it is very important work and can be fun as well as rewarding. If you take it on you will look back with pride on your efforts to save England’s beautiful countryside, stop villages from being ruined, protect people’s quality of life and tackle climate change.

This is the point I am trying to make NCB. New Labour are deliberately destroying the country, which means they know the answer to the simple equation, But there are others who also know the answer, yet because they subscribe to the creed of Internationalism and the ideology of Political Correctness – they find themselves in a difficult situation that they deal with by ignoring the issue which is the destruction of the British countryside by housing developments brought about by the influx of millions of immigrants.

There are people that really do want to have their cake and eat it too in so much as they love immigration (as long as it doesn’t affect them directly), but they also fancy themselves as protectors of the environment. But immigrants do need to be housed, and as immigrants settle in and then eventually colonise inner city areas, lots of the indigenous inhabitants then flee in a phenomenon that has come to be known as ‘white flight’. These white flighters’ in turn need to be housed which leads to the situation we now have all over the country where open spaces and green belt are being used to build new houses.

The photograph of the excavator digging up the moor land for yet another housing development was taken near Rossendale last summer. I couldn’t believe that this natural beauty was being destroyed without so much as even a token protest. I know that the fat slug called John Prescott decreed that green belt was to be used for building millions of new homes, but to actually witness this environmental vandalism first hand took my breath away.

Sadly there are so many things wrong with this country, many that have come about since the most destructive administration in British history come to power in 1997, that I find it difficult to envisage how we can ever undo the damage they have done.

Immigration is out of control and the British people are worried about this and are turning in increasing numbers to the BNP.

The argument that Britain needs migrant workers to do the jobs Britons won't do is a scurrilous one. The reason British workers don't do the sort of jobs done by the likes of Chinese cockle-pickers and Eastern European farm labour gangs is because the wages paid are not much more than unemployment benefit. Without immigration, pay in those industries would improve to a living wage level and as such, Britons would be queuing up for the work.

The British National Party's policy of ending mass immigration altogether will work and it's a viable option that more and more of the British people are starting to agree with.

Tameside Citizen said...

Just to add; if anyone thinks I am just using this just as an excuse for an anti-immigrant ‘racist’ rant, please click on the image featuring the excavator to enlarge it, you will then see why I feel so strongly about this subject. The small image does not convey the true scale of the vandalism being carried out in the name of housing which just happens to be caused as a result of New Labours open door immigration policy.

Is Southport's dwindling countryside worth saving from the bulldozer;

does anyone 'really' care about the fragile wildlife that dwells therein?

Greenbelt land at Southport is quickly disappearing thanks to multi-million pound deals that leave no room for the native wildlife. Money talks and wildlife either dies or gets the boot!

BNP policy is to protect the countryside by banning house building on greenfield-sites.

Who in the right mind would disagree with that?

National Trust chairman Sir William Proby has announced that the Trust may buy land to protect the countryside from extreme housing development.

Three million new homes will be built by 2020, according to the government, with 60 per cent of new homes going on brownfield sites. The National Trust has demanded that figure be increased to 80 per cent.

In its AGM, Sir William told members: 'You only have to look around and see the pace at which our precious countryside is being gobbled up to see that this now has to be a top priority.

'As our population grows relentlessly, our green spaces become a more finite and precious resource. Armed with the National Trust Act and a great tradition . . . we must give serious consideration to what we can do to help this situation.'

Insisting that 'we are not against progress', Sir William went on to say how protection of the green belt 'requires more than a conventional defence.'

10,000 acres were at risk from the plans, he claimed. The National Trust may now move its focus from preserving stately homes to buying land.

Correct 'fight back if you care', not only is it us who suffer, all this development work wreaks havoc on wildlife. Countless species have been lost or are in decline due to mankind’s encroachment upon their natural habitat.

Tameside MBC have for years been concreting vast area`s because its Councillors would not recognise "OUR ENVIRONMENT" if it hit them in their sycophantic gobs.
How many empty.to let.for rent.for sale.for lease, for development buildings now occupy the Tameside
Districts hundreds if not thousands have resulted courtesy of the Council and its devoted sycophantic Planning Officers who probably dont live in the area.
Of course appeasing the developers and land pirates generates plenty of Grants.EEC money, and various funding agencies where vast volumes of disguised money swills around in and out of discreet coffers.
Let me give you an example:in 1999 Tameside Council had spent 12 years
fighting 35,000 residents in Denton/Audenshaw after the Council decided to fight a sleazy action to decimate the golf course and green belt location close to the M60 Junction 24 and it resulted in 2 Public Inquiries.
This location was referred to inthe House of Commons by MP`s as our last pieces of green lung spaces, but still TMBC were determined to ensure United Utilities were granted the opportunity to build warehouse, units, etc etc but why was this intense fight fought for years ?????????
Well TMBC is the administrator of the largest Public Pension Fund in the UK,and £27.5 million had been placed in the funds of Untied Utilities through a back door office created in Salford run by United Utils with a seperate name as a contact small office for discreet donations.
After I traced this event no wonder TMBC were content to sacrifice green land when it had millions invested in the Landowners pockets. So thats why the 35,000 won the battle against Kingswater/Waterside Park the most deceptive and manipulative huge plans because the Council Leader was and still is the Chair of a fund worth £billions.
Whenever you look at planning applications do your research and uncover the real sleaze ridden methods being utilised as is now occuring re the Mottram ByPass through the Longendale Valley.
To benefit those in the three villages, bloody rubbish, they are but pawns in the objectives of the Department of Transport and TMBC
decision to create the M62Mk11 from the M1 straight through to the
M67/M60/M6/M5 as explained at the Public Inquiry so that people in the North East,Humberside,Yorkshire etc can more easily and speedier access the large Shopping Malls of Manchester,Entertainment Centres,Sports Grounds,Ringway Airport,Music Events etc etc so thats the real truth beyond the rhetoric plus of course the developments of hotels, supermarkets, car and HGV parks around the M67 at Mottram.
So please recognise why they need the Longendale Valley`s destruction its for the new M62Mk11
major highway from the M1 in South Yorkshire to all points around Manchester and the South Regions, for what??? yes for more vast sums into Council Pockets to spend on plaques, burglar alarms, statues, etc etc.So do your own searches to uncover what I have been finding for years about
TMBC and the Department of Transport,Developers, and The ever present Land Pirates who strip YOUR
land and decimate any green locations.
Cheers

John, have you ever considered running for council? I think you would make an excellent councillor. As a councillor, you would have access to information far more quickly than you and I do now. It is time to weed out corruption in Tameside.

Anonymous said...

Hear hear, I also think JH would make a first class councillor.

Anonymous said...

As would Roy West

Anonymous said...

And not forgetting NCB in Hyde and Liam in Longendale and TonyDJ in Waterloo would really change the political scene in Tameside for the better and they will be needed because when Roy Oldham goes - the lynchpin that makes Tameside MBC work will be gone. Imagine the council being run (into th ground) by numpties like Quinn - all Roy Oldhams good work would be overturned within a couple of years.

I am no longer standing in Longdendale. Sorry.

Always having an interest in others interests, perhaps others may enjoy the hobby, especially when you go into TMBC Council Offices ask for the Declaration of Interests files and peruse the list of interests against all the Councillors. Now its governed by law that Councillors have to update their financial interests and various positions held on other bodies "every year"so it was somewhat surprising when I discovered a few years ago that our Council Leader had not dislosed his for 12 years,so being aware of this serious and seemingly deliberate abuse,I informed Blair and Ministers of my findings, but I waited and waited for the penny to drop with them, but did it ??,not bloody likely, and other than an immediate rapid updating of Councillors Declaration of Interests files, zilch!!!!So when its chucking it down and gloomy take your pen and paper and also have a good read, its nice and warm in the TMBC offices.

I think we are on the same wave lenghth John. I sent this FoI a few months back:

Dear Ms. Stewart,

Please may it be possible if I could have an electronic copy of Roy and Margaret Oldham's declation of interests and information as to when it was last updated.

Best regards,

Liam Billington

My response was:

Dear Mr Billington

Thank you for your enquiry. The law allows you to inspect the register during office hours which was updated in June 2007 but not to take a copy. If you wish to inspect the records please arrange to do so by contacting Robert Landon, my Head of Democratic Services on 0161-342-2146.

Yours sincerely
Sandra Stewart

Unfortunately I don't really have the time to book appointments. It would be far easier if TMBC was to publish this on their website like High Peak Borough Council do. What have councillors got to hide?

Now here`s a funny story!!Members of Parliament have to complete House of Commons Registers associated with their interests and outside paid positions.
So knowing Andrew Gwynne my local MP couldnt say know if I read the House of Commons Registers I located listed as one of his aids a
Brenda Warrington as assisting my MP in his House of Commons duties.
But wait a minute she had declared she had no interests financial or otherwise.
Could this be an incredible co-incidence I thought, that my local Councillor apart from Andrew Gwynne was a Brenda Warrington my interest was stirred ??
So checking further but this time on the TMBC site I noted Brenda Warrington had two other paid outside interests besides being my adequately paid Tameside Councillor who had forgotten it seemed had no interests either financial or otherwise on House of Commons Registers.
In 2006 a very kind gentleman Sir Philip Mawer Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards accepted my inquiry and investigated the situation with the amazing result he achieved that
"Mrs Warrington had apologised for her mistake, and both "Mr.Gwynne and Mrs Warrington" had assured Sir Philip Mawer that "it was all "unintentional".
Such a minor forgetting that both people were close neighbours and obviously both TMBC Councillors both representing the same Ward (mine)what were the ramifications??
Well my MP is a PPS now to the Home Secretary responsible for Law and Order in the UK.
Perhaps if you see fit to raid a Bank, drive at 100mph,or cause GBH you may want to simply tell the judge it was "unitentional" and experience even promotion as well as securing your position in society.
Now what else concerns me tonight, well only to explain that the Tameside Reporter,Tameside Advertiser, and M.E.N have decided many months ago, that such matters are not of public interest and ignore my contributions and substantiated findings.
I must look at my past records and see if other TMBC Councillors also breached legistlation in past years and avoided updates in their interests.
Cheers for now

How ironic how cicumstances change in the political back rooms of power in Tameside.
My District Assembly Chair and Councillor was booted and resigned after claims he had rigged votes to ensure a TMBC Councillor neighbour became District Assembly Chair.
A spokesperson for TMBC a senior Labour Group source said of Councillor and now MP Andrew Gwynne
stated " They were not prepared to have him in any position of authority within the Labour Group"

How fickle politicians can be I ask??

The MEN now exposes the Public Money wasted, but of interest is the Government source comments.
Anybody any idea who TAMESIDE TED is,the angry irrational member of society who now refer to ByPass objecrors as lunatics who have cause the £14 million to be flushed down the pan "because of the highways agency constant errors".
Come out whoever you are TAMESIDE TED or are you someone well known
??? who prefers to skulk in your bunker.

The Tameside Andrex neglects the fact that Tameside Council has spent £800,000 too. They wouldn't want to point out the incompetence of one of their top advertisers now would they?

Funny my completed next funny story has been blocked with a lock and identified this site notification that Thawte Premium CA Server has identified this site.
Whats this about?????????????

Anonymous said...

I will try again to circumnavigate the blockade of this blog item..
...................................
Being regularly interested in our notorious Council Leaders outside interests, and after he had started to do the right thing after I fould his years of lapsed files,in June 2000 he declared his Directorship of Modesole Ltd of PO BOX 440 358 The Royal Echange Cross Street,Manchester M60 1RB from 31-8-89.
That rang my bell in that also being interested in the annual TMBC financial report I had seen that Modesole had obtained a massive loan of £millions but it was still outstanding because of Modesole not making any profits therefore could not pay back the loan offered by the Greater Manchester consortium of Councils.
Now knowing by then Modesole was financially involved in the creation of the new Manchester Exhibition venues and Entertainment Venues,it struck me that surely the loan obtained from Councils with OUR Council Taxes should have been first priority for Modesole, not so it seemed as the years passed by so wanting a chat I arranged a meeting with the District Auditor, but I was told it had to be a TMBC offices and a Council official present. No probs I thought but after an hour plus it was obvious the tentacles of local Government spread to District Auditors, and having listened to a muddled and defensive excuse I new I had hit a brick wall.
Fear not folks because the long established debt for millions on the TMBC financial pages disappeared into the ether and everyone had a sigh of relief.
I nearly fell of my chair when in 2008 I found our Leaders interests were still associated with Modesole Plc,and I believe another TMBC Councillor has joined the merry Modesole band.
So as I reflect on my first Council Tax payment and start saving up,perhaps the benefit of lower prices for air fresheners may have kicked in,so remember its a funny old game this local political lark, but as for a Knighthood Roy,"I dont think so mate",because theres a number of other things to come and I think you have come close enough already to a sword near your neck.

I have almost finished papering my living room with TMBC/Reporter pictures but find myself short of 5 more pics of Councillor Taylor to complete it.Amazing the progress of
a Market Stall Trader, but then haven`t you guessed his future challenge for something "BIG" in TMBC.
Perhaps Mr.Skinner Tameside Reporter will let us into the secret of exposing ourselves.
