So says Jim Cuddy of Canadian band
Blue Rodeo when describing his inspiration for their latest CD called This Town. It appears they played in Ashton during their British tour. I wonder did he tell the audience in Ashton that he thought their town was "one of the bleakest places you can imagine."?

Did anyone go and see them and if so were they any good?
I would not take a free ticket mate.
A bit like the comment from Richard Gere when he once said in an interview that Stalybridge was the worst place he has ever been.
Ashton bleak? Nonsense!
Look at all the beautiful cultures from all over the world that coexist in Ashton.
The big mosque at the end of Katherine Street is magnificent.
ps.Let's see if this post gets deleted.
