Oh if you click on the link you will see a picture of a CND protest in Tameside. Look to the bottom right hand and you will see our very own Lord Tom Pendry holding a boys hand.
Lets have a "Where's Wally" or "Where's the Wally" and see if there is anymore familiar faces from Tameside Council past and present.
Speaking of party parrots... Don't you remember those signs dotted around the borders of Manchester and around Manchester City Centre with "Manchester - A City of Peace" and "Manchester - A Nuclear Free City".
Well funnily enough these signs disappeared when the war in Iraq was comming in. You will find all our loacal Labour MP's and councillors were all in favour of invading Iraq and that would contradict the message with the "City of Peace". Same applies on Labour's pro nuclear energy policy.
Hmmm, this looks just like the sort of thing you'd see issued by the local ZANU PF (Labour) press office in the course of one of their brainwashing campaigns. More spin than a washing machine.

Looks like more a crap press release if I am being honest. I thought readers letters was pure comment with a few community announcements thrown in.
Is this the Joan Abrams who is a yoga Teacher and CND local activist/official? Also in the local UN association.
HAHAHAHAHA... Oh dear. Nice one David. We all know that local Labour activists are heavilly involved with CND.
I wonder what Joan thinks of our local MP's and their party parrot views on Trident?
