A man was left with horrific injuries after being attacked with an axe in his own home.At about 2.30am on Sunday, November 4 2007, a gang of four men forced their way into a flat on John Kennedy Road, Hattersley and threatened the homeowner and another woman.After a struggle, one of the offenders grabbed an axe from the victim's bedroom and hit him several times in the head and body. The homeowner, aged 38, spent several days in hospital recovering from his injuries.The main offender is described as being mixed race, in his early 20s and of slim build. During the incident one of the gang is thought to have called him Leon. The second offender is described as white, of slim build and the other two in the gang are thought to be white, about 15-years-old, of slim build, and wearing baseball caps.DS Brian Hulse, of Ashton CID, said: "The victim received horrific injuries as a result of this senseless attack and spent a lot of time in hospital recovering. Both he and his friend were left extremely traumatised by this vicious attack."I would appeal to anyone with information to contact officers as soon as possible."Anyone with information is asked to call Ashton CID on 0161 856 9255 or Crimestoppers, in confidence, on 0800 555 111.

Cllr Roy Oldham back in 2003 made an impassioned speech in council denouncing lawyers who represented "The Guilty" and who got them off to terrorise the innocent. I was delighted to hear him.
I can believe what you say David, but what Roy Oldham said is utter bollocks. Everyone deserves the right to be defended in court. Yes money can buy you things and an expensive lawyer who knows all the loopholes, but that shouldn't be the case, the loopholes need to be closed. Without being overly bureaucratic, we need to ensure that we are prosecuting the right person. We wouldn't want any gross miscarriages of justice now would we?

Let me make this clear to the smear brigade in Dukinfield. If I decide to stand in the next local elections for The British National Party I will put in to practice a genuine campaign "of politics for the people" Representation for all those Dukinfield residents left behind by Labour. People tell me that they are sick of constantly complaining to their local councillors in Dukinfield about the problems of yobs and vandalism in their area, only to come away feeling frustrated at the lack of Representation. Many people don't even know who their councillors are for their area. The Labour Cllrs don't like this opposition in Dukinfield because it has now become a serious threat to their power base in Dukinfield. That is the only reason for their hostility towards me not because I am a racist and that I hate people with a different colour of skin, how very wrong they are.

Have you noticed how Councillor John Taylor works? He his very blind to any other point of view. He tends to get very upset when he gets challenged on matters like wanting to block off all the public path ways. Taylor's answer to youths hanging around path ways is to block them off from the rest of the public.
