Kittens dumped at shelter

Eight tiny kittens were dumped on an animal shelter in the space of one hour. Some now face a desperate fight for survival without their mother.Tameside Animal Shelter, Hyde, is now full to capacity and staff are appealing for help to care for the animals.Shelter founder Jacqui Manclark said she was appalled by the way the litters were abandoned.Staff had a telephone call saying five kittens had been left in a factory and if they were not collected they would be `splattered'.The other three kittens were left with their mother in a box at the shelter. Irresponsibility Ms Manclark said: "I can never get over the irresponsibility of the people who do things like this. I just wish people would get their cats neutered. "The five who were left without their mum will struggle to survive without the antibodies her milk provides despite doing our best to keep them alive. It is very upsetting"If anyone has a cat that has just had kittens we would appeal for them to get in touch because the kittens may take to her like a foster mother."Anyone who can help should call 0161 368 3511 or visit tamesideanimalshelter.co.uk

How awful! Unfortunately there is no room at the inn at my house, we have three cats already! Cats are the best animals ever.

Have a look here

Cats are good, get one!
