Can a Common Buzzard lift a 690g piece of meat?

This one tried but failed, however the failure did not occur due to a lack of trying because it really did try its best.

If you don’t watch the whole film you still may find the clip below interesting as the buzzard charges at a squirrel in full hunting mode. The buzzard did not want to lose this prize to a cheeky squirrel - despite the fact squirrels are as good as vegetarian.

Good try. Especially seeing as that bird only weighs about two and a half pounds.
More fantastic footage, most importantly it's LOCAL green space, i.e where people can get to it.

There was a news report on Sky yesterday about people feeding these birds after a number of children were attacke. An expert on birds said under no circumstances must anyone feed falcons because they quickly begin to link people with food which then leads to people being attacked for food.

I know this is off topic but having read this item below just prior to the topic being changed,it deserves repeating because it needs to be read.

Has anyone noticed the leaning of TMBC Politicians towards having themselves photographed with young children.
Now surely thats in breach of the present rights of children because all adults and parents who are non Tameside Politicians cannot photograph children even their own children on their sports days,take photographs at christmas plays/concerts of children.or simply photograph a child who is not family linked to the adult photographer or adult posing on the picture with children.
I would think Tameside Politicians Councillors and MP`s are breaching the law by exposing Tameside children to being photographed and displayed in the local Labour Rags.
Now lets hear from the Borough Solicitor who usually has "all the answers" because I reckon TMBC Politicians are overstepping the mark and exposing children along with the Press photographers who are complicit in this abuse of childrens rights and why has the TMBC Solicitor not upheld the childrens rights.
So am I right TC contributors ?????
and should these regular antics be
brought to the attention of the authorities

Hey that is a great point. Do you remember reading this back in 2003 when parents were banned from filming a nativity play in Hattersley?

It is sad to think that children have long been used as political pawns in the borough of Tameside. How could we ever forget the outrage back in Nov 2007 when white children were forced to give Black Power salutes
in a supposed effort to 'show racism the red card'?

Every year in the run up to Christmas we see local councillors posing with children and doing such activities as posting letters off to Santa. One of the most frequent offenders in these staged photo opportunities looks like a loveable old granddad but the reality is, he is totally money orientated and a ruthlessly self serving gravy train rider.

The common ground all these publicity seeking child hugging councillors have stems from their belief in total dictatorship and a totalitarian mindset. After all, think of a picture of Adolf or Stalin and you undoubtedly will picture them in child hugging posed photo opportunity propaganda mode.

These latter day dictators just cannot help emulating their political roll models from the past - they just regret they lack the mandate to eliminate their political opponents in such an arbitrary fashion as their predecessors.

Eastenders is currently giving us a wonderful, heartwarming tale about a black girl who has overstayed her visa. She is a christian, at university trying desperately to finish her exams before being deported, very clever, very kind to old ladies and kittens and so on and so on. She was about to be deported when the day was saved by a friend offering to marry her.

It's truly touching that this sham marriage has touched the hearts of millions and perhaps sham marriages aren't really so bad after all, if they're all like this.

Another Eastenders storyline features a gay couple, one of them muslim. (Note that they couldn't get a muslim actor to kiss another male actor, so they had to get an Italian to play him) and how dreadful that they can't have a baby. They've done surrogacy, that didn't work, so now they're looking at adoption. The nation has its fingers crossed that the muslim's parents stop their ridiculous bigotry and come through with the references and picture of happy home life that is needed.

Casualty touched on people smuggling last night with a depiction of terrible scars on an African (?) woman's back. Her sisted had died in the lorry they were smuggled in, so she hummed "Abide with me" to get her through her loss. Did you get that, nation? "Abide with me". She's a christian, just like you.

It can never be said too many times - when something (the BBC) is funded by the state and uses the state to collect an enforced payment from the public, it will inevitably become a mouthpiece of the state and push the state's message.

Has the TC released its grip on Tameside Council ? or has its readership/comments considerably dwindled.
Now Dukinfield has gone considerably quite,plus the fringe groups whats the other 190,000 Tamesiders got to say about the dregs who administrate their lives.
Stay silent and they win.

The higher you rise in the intellectual scale, the more likely you are to hate your own country... It is an odd phenomenon. It involves, in theory, a love of the rights of the masses and, in practice, a lofty disdain for the common herd...

I am just old enough to remember when clever contemporaries at school would praise Chairman Mao... Approximately 45 million people are thought to have died because of Mao’s Great Leap Forward, which revolutionised agriculture (destroying the harvest) and steel production (making steel that could not be used). When Mao died, Tony Benn paid a condolence call on the Chinese embassy and lamented the passing of the “greatest man of the 20th century”.

In modern times, Pryce-Jones argues, the great self-hating project for clever English people is the European Union. He thinks they are attracted by the strategy of deception explicitly put forward in the words of the EU’s founding father, Jean Monnet:

Harold St John Philby worked for the Foreign Office, but became so ardent an Arabist that he converted to Wahhabi Islam and did business for the house of Saud instead. He declared that Arab public morality was “definitely superior” to European ethical codes. His son Kim worked for MI6, and betrayed his country and his colleagues to the Soviet Union. Wilfrid Scawen Blunt, another Arabist, cursed British soldiers in the Sudan as “mongrel scum of thieves from Whitechapel and Seven Dials”. His kinsman, Anthony, expressed his contempt for his country by helping Kim Philby escape to Moscow...

Pryce-Jones... is absolutely right about the link between bad politics and hatred of one’s country, and about the dishonesty involved.

In total, 186 councils released data to the Daily Telegraph.

All of the councils only agreed to release information disclosing expenditure over £500 – potentially meaning there are tens of millions of pounds in additional spending on lower value items or services.

Documents obtained under Freedom of Information laws show that town hall officials bought items including long-range binoculars and GPS tracking devices to spy on residents suspected of dodging their council tax or fly-tipping.

In total, 186 councils released data to the Daily Telegraph.

Details of Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council's spending over £500 on credit cards.

COUNCIL IS YET TO PROVIDE DATA

So never mind the Buzzards,how many Tameside can pick up their wallets/purses without getting a hernia ??

No, Tameside Labour are doing a great job, look at the excellent election results they got last month.
Are you suggesting large numbers of the public are unbelievably thick and uninformed and would vote for them no matter what?
And that even larger numbers are equally thick and/or lazy and apathetic?

Surely not.

Watch out for dust getting in the shutter of your camera TC.

Excellent article above regarding Philby and Blunt etc.

Here is that infamous quote by the EU's founding father - Jean Monnet.

"Europe's nations should be guided towards the superstate without their people understanding what is happening. This can be accomplished by successive steps, each disguised as having an economic purpose, but which will eventually and irreversibly lead to a federation"

The bulk of the UK electorate: Either don't care about the country;
Are foreign and don't care about a country they only live in and want something from, but for some reason are allowed to vote;
Hate Britain but are still allowed to vote, indeed helped to by the utterly corrupt postal voting system and parties who will sell the country down the river to get the 'block vote';
Are thick;
Have given up.

The Brits who don't care or have given up are the worst. As long as they get their 'tight pussy, loose shoes and a warm place to shit' they're happy.

Nasty And A Violent Man! said...

My solicitor said, that, John Taylor would be hard pushed to dispute being called nasty and violent.
You only need to view this footage of Mr Taylor.
I find it amazing, that, the CID can lecture me on the code of conduct.
While Councillor Taylor is free to say whatever he likes about me in his leaflets.
Councillor Taylor is free to make false statements at every turn it seems.
He told residents in Dukinfield that I was guilty of racial harassment, against a woman with mixed race children on my street.
