Stalybridge South Conservatives - action not words

Well done to Doreen and the team. The stretch of road in question is in a terrible state and despite promises from the newly elected MP it appears the local Conservative councillors are responsible for securing the funding to repair this pot-holed road.

The roads in Tameside are now utterly appalling and all cretins like Taylor can do is waffle on about dog shit.
The council seem to think their duty is to protect local public sector jobs and that they and the councillors themselves are special and should be immune from the effects of the slump that is seriously affecting tens of millions of 'ordinary' people. The situation is serious if the roads, an absolutely crucial part of our infrastructure, have been underfunded to this degree, especially over the last few years, it's got virtually nothing to do with one bad and one slightly worse than average winter.
We need wage cuts across the board in the council, especially at management level, and far more redundancies. We need council wards to be merged and councillors reduced to no more than thirty. Councillors allowances should be massively reduced, they increased by 157% on average over the last five years nationally.
In the current dreadful economic circumstances the ESSENTIALS take priority and local government overpaying and overmanning has to stop. Why should the public sector receive preferential treatment AT ALL, let alone in a massive economic slump.

Anyone noticed how our brave, for the people",serving the public,we do it in your interests, cynical greed ridden Councillors have suggested Councillors should receive no increases whatsoever even if selected for another Quango set up,so as to share the bad times with the public they serve and who through Council Taxes pay their mortgages, food bills, living costs, family outings out of the £thousands they extract each year for themselves out of your pockets.
Labour my A---,these despot cretins
are not fit too wipe the ar--- of any Tamesider who pays their way.
Car Stickers should be available in local shops to expose the facts seeing that the brazen Manchester Media inc Channel M are anti the
Manchester Working Classes regardless of their rhetoric, and perhaps if we stopped buying goods from Companies who advertise in the MEN,Advertisers,Reporters etc
then maybe reducing the numbers of Companies who advertise may prove our point.
Radical, and Rigorous should be our motto if we are too make changes.

I agree with "Labour Til I Die", indeed it is a councillors job to keep in touch with their constituents.

But I will remember his comments for next time when I open the Tameside Citizen newspaper and see a Labour councillor riding off the back of taxpayer funded propaganda. Jonny Reynolds would of printed that letter from the back of his communications allowance.

The Tories do this through locally raised funds from members. They don't get any help from the council or the taxpayer - and rightly so too.

Mike Ballagher aka Labour til I die is talking utter shit with himself again.

Near Stocks Lane at the junction of Acres Lane and Mottram Rd the road surface is dreadful with lots of deep potholes and a worn heavily rutted surface. TMBC must have had complaints because they've turned up and lobbed a bit of tarmac into some of the holes. Total botch job that Pikeys would be ashamed of.
I agree with Dave Grant, Tameside's roads are in s**t state.
