£4bn Nimrods built at Woodford are scrapped

Reading this article in today’s Manchester Evening News made cry out loud in despair. I think I have already written on this blog about a friend who worked at the BAE site in Woodford when the jigging equipment for the hugely successful AvroRJX Regional Jet was cut up and scrapped. Was it cut up and scrapped because the RJX was a loss maker or a poor design? No, it was scrapped because BAE decided they would only break even on the project in the short term following the terrorist outrages which occurred on Sept 11th 2001. So in the words of a pilot I know who actually flies an RJ aircraft and which he describes as the worlds best regional jet “only in Britain would this madness be allowed to take place” - he was referring to the scrapping of the RJX project and the skilled hi-tech jobs which went with it.

That was in the noughties, now we are in a new decade. The criminal conspiracy known as the Labour Party have been booted from office and we have what everyone hoped would be better government. The new government inherited a number of real poison chalices from the Labour criminals; huge debt created by illegal wars and utterly reckless spending being arguably the worst. Everyone knew austerity measures would be needed to bring the economy back under control, but who could have predicted the savage and illogical cuts implemented by the coalition?

If you have zero interest in the aircraft industry you should still read about the current insanity going on down the road at the BAE site at Woodford. The plain facts are the Nimrod surveillance planes have already been built at a cost of just under £4bn and were due to enter service next year. Now following the reckless abandonment of the project on the instruction of the government the aircraft are to be cut up and scrapped. Teams of contractors are preparing to move in and reduce the aircraft to scrap metal. The absolute criminality of the situation is: Britain still needs this type of surveillance aircraft and it is almost certain we will buy an ‘off the shelf’ from an American company.

I will conclude this rant with a link to The Guardian regarding the recent WikiLeaks releases. Read the article, and if you are concerned about criminality at the highest levels of government read it very carefully. If what you read, bearing in mind the insanity of abandonment of the Nimrod project, does not tell you this project has been sabotaged due to corruption at the highest levels of government then you really need to sit back and enjoy the fate these master criminals have lined up for us.

Don`t worry,there will be plenty of weapons,arms and military lives lost,and replacements needed
when Israel fineally gets its way, which it demands daily.
That the US/UK get into immediate military action and destroy Iran.
Now that would be a firework display
whilst Israel sits back and watches.
So Arms,Planes,Ships,Rockets etc will be made readily avaiable at the next Middle East mass destruction and likely Woodford could be opened again.
War Games and posturing is a joke to Politicians with the CIA each day stirring the pot.

Iran could be destabilised as there is already a lot of internal strife. No doubt the CIA and other interested parties have been 'at it' for some time.

Aluman, did you know there has been a huge storm raging on Jupiter for the last 300 years?

Does anyone else know why Andy Gray the Sky football presenter was sacked? Yes, you sir with the yellow tie - wrong, he was not sacked for making sexist comments. The real reason he was set up and then sacked is because he was a victim of the Murdoch owned News of the World phone phone hacking scandal. He was due to testify against the Murdoch owned paper so Murdoch set him and had him sacked from his cushy job at Sky.

This really is a joke. the decision has been far to hasty. I think someone should report on what the goverment are using instead of the nimrod....the American Boeing KC-135 tankers are to be converted to Boeing RC-135W Rivet Joint aircraft to be used by the uk. The aircraft in summation is not a patch on the MRA4, the first rivet joint is to enter service in 2014 with crews being trianed in the us in 2011, the aircraft 1st entered service in 1964 (what a great replacement). The mod is spending up to 1.4 billion on these aircraft initially...there older than the MR2 nimrod !!!! for that money they could have 3 new mra4's that would be available in 2011......can anyone work that out?? no neither can anyone.....the whole thing stinks and this government has got a lot to answer for, especially when so many internal military personel and specialist have been telling them they need/want the aircraft....this is well documented from various sources e.g.

Defence analyst Paul Beaver said: "There is no way that Nimrod can be replaced, and the decision will have serious implications for Trident."

Tim Ripley (Janes Defence Weekly) said: "We were all told that it was to save money, but its that there was little money to be saved from the manufacturing, which means there were hardly any short-term savings to help tackle the deficit”.

Admiral Sir Mark Stanhope stated he was “very uncomfortable” and did not “welcome the loss of Nimrod”

Liam Fox stated “Deletion of the Nimrod MR4 will limit our ability to deploy maritime forces rapidly into high-threat areas, increase the risk to the Deterrent, compromise maritime CT (counter terrorism), remove long range search and rescue, and delete one element of our Falklands reinforcement plan.”

It does seem like a shocking waste of money. Just think how many new immigrant families could have had large family homes built on bought up greenbelt land using that kind of money.

A previous poster has stated that Tameside MBC will use the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act (2000) to trace and prosecute contributors to this blog who make libellous remarks about senior council staff.

Below is a summary of the Act.
(It should be noted that local councils seem especially keen to use/misuse the provisions in the legislation)

The Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000 (RIPA) regulates the manner in which certain public bodies may conduct surveillance and access a person's electronic communications. The Act:

* enables certain public bodies to demand that an ISP provide access to a customer's communications in secret;

* enables mass surveillance of communications in transit;

* enables certain public bodies to demand ISPs fit equipment to facilitate surveillance;

* enables certain public bodies to demand that someone hand over keys to protected information;

* allows certain public bodies to monitor people's internet activities.

Interesting Post by NCB.
So the disgraced,inept,ignorant,not fit for purpose,uneducated,and devious,have a right to sit on our shoulders according to Investigatory
Pwers behind the scenes,whilst those elected to SERVE THE PUBLIC have a free organised reign to do what the hell they want and having been around Politics for years,the biggest fear any Politician has is for everyone to simply not vote.
It should be tried in Tameside in 2011 before the Politicians get their way to follow the much sought Australian system that of
Fines if You Don`t Vote.
On reflection Stalin has been reincarnated big time in a huge multitude of Unfit For Purpose Politicians.

In the Tameside Advertiser Jan 27th
2011 MP Andrew Gwynne denies he is not the Chair of the Labour Friends of Israel which he states is incorrectly reported information.
Typical contrived words from Mr Gwynne who according to another Internet source 26th Jan 2011 that he still is,http://www.lfi.org.uk/
are followed by another Internet source dated 20th January 2011 which states as from January 20th 2011 David Cairns MP is the New Chair of the LFI.
http://www.imemc.org/article/60469?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+PalestineNews+%28Palestine+News%29

Playing with words is a common feature of all Politicians,so why didn`t he say I am no longer the Chair as from Jan 20th 2011.
Which happens to be near the time the Tameside Advertiser released its article.
Also he knows nothing about the Hospitality with Tameside Council.
Well I for one prefer Politicians who don`t skulk around being more than careful to try and make readers unaware of Mr.Gwynne`s long role as Chair until these past few days.
Perhaps the Mr.Gwynne`s Assistant in the House of Commons Benjamin
Garrat Director of the LFI will also remove himself out of the firing line.
Buy a used car from such folk,certainly not.

This Gwynne blighter comes accross as if butter would not melt in his mouth. It is nearly impossible to believe he is involved in such sinister activities. Are we talkling about the same Gwynne from Denton?

The very same Andrew Gwynne MP Ex TMBC Councillor who a few years back was banned from Council Meetings because he was accused of rigging the result of the local Council members who served on the District Assembly Meetings.
A spokesperson for TMBC said at the time we do not want such Councillors representing TMBC.
With his wife a TMBC Councillor as well Mr.Gwynne was found in the MP Expenses scandel to have claimed food allowances during the summer when Parliament was on summer recess.
A whatever you want in sheeps clothing fits the bill.

Yes he wants to stop vital scientific animal experimentation because it's cruel, but apparently has no problem with barbaric Halal/Kosher slaughter. This hypocritical and utterly irrational stance is obviously totally unconnected to his links to and former chairmanship of the Labour Friends of Israel group.

Gwynne is attempting to make John Hall appear like a liar by using a play on words to suggest he is not connected to the Israeli lobby. If you search this blog you will see Gwynne was exposed ages ago as being an agent for Israel.

The chair of the Standards Committee is Ms Valerie Bracken. The other members of the committee are:Mrs Jacqueline Barnes

Mr David Berry
Mr R Pannone
Councillor Melanie Anderson (Mossley Town Council Representative - required under the relevant regulations)
Councillor Valerie Carter (Mossley Town Council Representative - required under the relevant regulations)
Reverend Dennis Thomas
Councillor Joe Kitchen, Chair of Council Business, and nominated substitute Councillor Susan Quinn
Councillor John Bell, Leader of the Opposition, and nominated substitute Councillor Derek Baines
http://www.tameside.gov.uk/standardscommittee
If this is the group who are directly responsible for overseeing the conduct of TMBC Councillors and recognising the role of Freemasons
is too protect their members,is it perhaps questionable that the Rev Thomas one of the most powerful Freemasons in the North over recent years
and previously Chaplain too the Duke of Kent (the top of the tree) should be directly involved in monitoring the conduct of Councillors.
http://www.pglel.co.uk/Latest_News/News_Pages/News/2010/rev_d_thomas_22.2.10/dennis_thomas__50th_22.2.10.asp.
Who appoints this Standards Committee ?,could it be self serving?,what are they paid,what is the witheld information where certain issues are involved.?
In my opinion in the interests of Accountability and Probity those themselves who deal with the conduct of Councillors should be answerable to the Public
as regards All INFORMATION which they deliberate on,and why should anything be only privy to the ears of the few on this Committee,

Information I certainly didn`t know is we now have a TMBC Deputy Borough Solicitor ie
0161-342-2924 or at paul.turner@tameside.gov.uk
who will be dealing with your inquiry.

All I seek under FOI legistlation is the full list of the Councillors or TMBC employees who received LFI hospitality at a Manchester restaurant.

Deputies,Assistants,Researchers,
Secretaries,appear to escalating
rapidly,does this mean those chosen as Heads prefer expanding their departments in case they cannot handle a situation.
A simple question without malice.
