According to the BNP leader Nick Griffin MEP an application to convert the former Pineapple pub in Stalybridge into a mosque has been rejected. Does anyone local have any information as to whether or not this is true?
Update: The British National Party now have a detailed report on the proposed Stalybridge mosque on their website. The report can be viewed here. Interestingly there is no mention of the planning proposal being rejected so maybe Mr Griffin was a little quick off the mark when he tweeted that the application had been rejected.
