Travellers Set Up Camp In Denton

On the field on Cemetery Road which is right next to the cemetery. The majority of the vehicles on this unauthorised camp site are showing Republic of Ireland registration plates so it is fair to assume these are Irish travellers.

The locals are up in arms and rightly so. This field is regularly used by local kids for sports and adults for exercising their dogs. The council have been informed and I earlier witnessed a rather stressed looking council official speaking to the travellers. I couldn't help but think to myself this poor chap has definitely drawn the short straw when it come to job allocation for the day.

Is Pikey an illegal word or does it depend on who's using it and the context?

Brad Pitt Pikey scene - Snatch said...

Under the Orwellian 'hate speech' laws imposed by Labour the word Pikey probably is illegal if PC Plod or the CPS (Complete Political Stooges) decide they want to arrest you for something.

If you've never seen the film Snatch click the blue link. Brad Pitt plays the part of a P*~#y to perfection and it's very funny.

It's the same as Nigger, Honkey or Paki. If some people use it it's OK, if others do it it's not. Is that clear.
By the way Aussie is always OK whereas Abbo (indigenous Australian) isn't.

The N word is bit like the fedmenists doing the "Slut Walk". Be proud of who you are.

What N word? Is it OK to say slut but not nigger?
Nothing to be proud of being a slut, it's like being proud to be grossly obese, ignorant or having bad personal hygiene.
The law that says a word is offensive depending on who uses it is the law that's insane and leads to chaos.

Harassed council worker probably haggling with them over their impatience at lack of dedicated drop-in centre and a major monument to their struggle against prejudice. He'll have to promise them even more if he doesn't want them to leave, like lifts for horses in flats.

Is that a Dukinfield Councillors caravan in the photograph,it would appear the same.
Maybe JT has been ejected from his sordid second class Ducky Tower.

And if you show your mallis in public, you WILL get nicked!

See this report from 2008. AGMA want Tameside to increase the number of camp sites to 17 from 0 by 2015.

http://www.northwestplanpartialreview.org.uk/downloads/gtaa/AGMA%20G&T%20FINAL%20REPORT%20June%202008%20Final.pdf

I'd encourage everyone to write to their local councillor objecting to this proposal. That's a gypsy campsite for almost every ward in Tameside.

Just read the report. It talks about pitches not sites!!

Be sure never to show your mallis, dangerous one that, first you have to work out what 'mallis' is. Something circled in red ink I think.

one male travellers was apparently seen on the field in open view of the road with his trousers down around his ankles actually using it as a toilet
this road has a 20 mile speed limit and yet these people in their blacked out window cars are driving up and down all the time at about 40 mph
why can't police set up an officer with a camera

I believe they have been blatantly shoplifting at the shop on the corner and the owner is naturally terrified. Again their rights come before those of honest decent people. The country is a joke.

I have deleted a comment from a person who made a comment at 10.02 in relation to the travelers opposite your house. I am sure what you said what was nothing other than a figure of speech and not a direct threat, but people have been jailed for saying far less on the internet.

As I write this, a local man, a good man, an anti-corruption campaigner is currently a 'guest' at HMP Forest Bank. He was jailed for saying the word 'neighbour' in a Youtube video.

When it comes to freedom of speech your rights have been eroded on many issues and completely removed on others.

The simple rule of thumb to avoid trouble is: If in doubt - don't say it.

@ Anonymous 13:50, good advice but you'd have to be careful how you worded it these Orwellian days or you might find the politicised police knocking on your door.
