Sir Francis Galton Vindicated?

After watching an amazing programme on BBC1 yesterday evening about New Charter Housing, I am beginning to think Sir Francis Galton may actually have had a valid point when he lectured on what uncontrolled and reckless breeding from certain members of the 'lower orders' would lead to. Anyone who watched the programme which was called Neighbourhood Watched will probably understand where I am coming from.

This programme is not a good advertisement for Tameside. In fact viewers could be forgiven for thinking that Tameside is largely inhabited by inbreds and simpletons. Some of the people featured in the programme were truly disgraceful. I felt so sorry for the neighbour of the lout who constantly played loud music. What would happen to people like that thuggish lout if there was no welfare state to support his existence, would he perish or would he realise the game was up and sort himself out to survive?

If you missed the programme you can watch it on the BBC iPlayer by clicking here.

Galton did indeed have some interesting ideas about selective breeding to eradicate certain elements of the population whom some would describe as the "lower orders".

Galton was particularly concerned that the "man or men of the future" should have certain virtues. Namely: Bravery and what one might describe as a "strong family ethic".

I think Sir Francis would be most disappointed in a chap who breaks up his family, and makes up one excuse after another as to why he can't stand as a candidate in elections.

I think for the kind of chap you mention homeowner, eugenics would not be needed. A solid basis in a Fascistic ideology would work fine.

Family is to the nation as a penny is to a pound, you break up all the pennies and you are soon left with nothing.

And sometimes when all is lost, the least you can do is take a stand, I will never deride a man who hasn't the iron to do it but I reserve a special respect for those who do, the same kind of respect I feel towards all those who endanger themselves to help others.

Whoever you are referring to homeowner, I'm sure he isn't of the calibre that the people in that program belong to. I would be happy to learn more about him however if you feel it worthwhile, if you are who I think you are then you know how to contact me.

If you watch the programme, the nuisance guy did actually have a mother who seemed perfectly ordinary, decent and (reasonably) intelligent. The question is how had she had managed to reer such a detestable little toerag. There can be no doubt however that in cases like his, benefits should be conditional on having had the snip.

I feel so distressed by it all to the point, that, myself and my partner have lost six stones between us. It's shocking to see these British flags and poppies in our line of view. Even the biggest opponent of blood sports,(hunting with dogs) in Tameside, can see it our way.

In 1887 Alexander Tyler, a Scottish history professor at the University of Edinburgh, had this to say about the fall of the Athenian Republic some 2,000 years prior: "A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government. A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse over loose fiscal policy, (which is) always followed by a dictatorship."

"The average age of the world's greatest civilizations from the beginning of history, has been about 200 years. During those 200 years, these nations always progressed through the following sequence:

From bondage to spiritual faith;
From spiritual faith to great courage;
From courage to liberty;
From liberty to abundance;
From abundance to complacency;
From complacency to apathy;
From apathy to dependence;
From dependence back into bondage."

"A vote without any understanding is like a grenade in the hands of a monkey - a very dangerous thing indeed."

I agree. I think people should have to pass an exam in basic critical thinking before they're allowed to vote, personally.

And yes, I know that such an idea is fraught with threats to liberty and democracy, but we've got those now already anyway.

The ongoing destruction of our country, in this case by the de-evolution of our people is under discussion, but irrelevant personal differences clearly take precedence with some.
Long term random breeding, massively increased by the welfare state and a chronically dumbed down education system, has created this problem of subhumans in our midst and no modern politician has one hundredth of the backbone needed to tackle the issue.

Re Alexander Tyler, it's who we might end up in bondage TO. They didn't have mass immigration of Third Worlders in Tyler's day.

Democracy is a sham, Athenian Democracy was flawed and so is our less direct version. Democracy should be used as a way of balancing power between the people and their leader not as a sole means of control.

Without a leader with the faith of the nation behind them a nation is impotent and fraught with disunity, a powerful King or Emperor would be the best option, with contest or "Aristocratic election" being the means of selecting such a man.

The lower classes can then have their own representatives within their trades or professions to have a parliament to resolve the day to day running of the nation.

Let the kin-elite deal with the foreign policy, organisation and direction of the nation and keep the lower classes protected by allowing them control over production and interior economics.

My ideas are a bit simplified at the moment and they need developing but I think I am onto something. all the little sticks exist but they can still be bound into a fasces should a neighbour's skull need cracking.

When YOU have sweated blood for Nationalism in this country for over 10 years, then you can lecture others; until then, pipe down.

Your constant rants about "subhumans" and "bloodlust" are an embarrassment.

According to the Tory grandee Michael Heseltine, the lower orders are those people who watch television lol.

SerpentSlayer said...

I can understand what he means sometimes, television seems to be catering to the most poor of tastes these days.
It's all obnoxious nobodies showing how self-important they are and promoting degenerate lifestyles.

If it wasn't for repeats and DVDs I meant end up doing something drastic and read more often.

I went leafleting with a veteran Nationalist once, this one house, a bald bloke comes out ranting and screaming and acting aggressively. He looks ready to attack, I stand my ground and give him a look that says "I'm game if you are", all of a sudden the veteran nationalist's phone goes off, he has hold of it seemingly before it rings, he says "I have to take this" and walks off

The angry man, presumably a Mudshark or a Communist, sees the look in my eyes (probably even more murderous than the one he threw me) and backs off. I have a feeling the veteran Nationalist would have made an excuse to go home if either of us had initiated a fight.

The man with a beard would have held his ground, no matter how brief he has been a Nationalist for.

There was a lot of 'Bloodlust' in all the conflicts of the Middle Ages that played a crucial part in forming our country.
The oversophisticated apparently find any mention of such possible events in the future embarrassing.

SerpentSlayer, don't tell lies about me please on this blog. What you have just said is a complete pack of lies and you know it.

You were the one crying like a baby in Ostend because a girl would not go on a date with you. And remember I have 6 witnesses to that event. You made a complete fool out of yourself in front of a lot of people - you were literally CRYING YOUR EYES OUT. So don't come on here playing the tough guy with me.

No doubt the Ostend incident was a regretted mistake and not the systematic, irrelevant drivel and backstabbing posted on here by a quitter.

There are a number of posts I have not approved regarding a once regular contributor to discussion on this site. There appears to be some kind of ongoing feud between the said individual and his former buddies. It is childish and tedious stuff but if the warring parties wish to continue their squabble elsewhere rather than on this site, that is their business, but please, enough is enough and stop posting such non-relevant drivel here.

Byrne give it a rest you are making a fool of ya sen.

This is getting silly. I was drunk, a rare event and I was never rejected by anyone, I just let the culmination of a few years of bottling stuff get on top of me.

I remember what happened clear as day. Even as you made your excuses you sounded as if your trousers were full. You can prove how tough you are anytime, any place, you know how to get in touch with me.

Speaking of which I've heard nought from you over your TC allegations, I'm guessing that that was wind and piss afterall.
