A large hedgehog type creature asleep in Denton
That is the message I got yesterday and it still tickles me now when I think of it. I couldn’t wait to get to Mill Lane in Denton to see this mystery creature. I was half expecting to see an escaped porcupine or something similarly as exotic but as more details come through I correctly guessed it was a badger - the description of a stripy face kind of give it away.
Sadly this badgers deep sleep is not a temporary affair and it will never awake because it is as dead as a Dodo - probably a victim of road traffic but there is no denying it genuinely does look as if it is having a nice relaxing snooze. Not until you get very close can you see the tell-tale trickle of blood coming from its nose.
It is bizarre to say but in death it truly does look beautifully at peace.

Badgers are TB ridden and spread it to cattle. Wide scale gassing is required.
Yes, of people who torment innocent animals.
What like all those cattle who die slowly and painfully of TB.
Numpty boy, you should start researching why TB is spreading in Britain and it has very little to with badgers.
That's why they're starting a badger cull in mid and west Wales isn't it. OK numpty boy.
Does gassing badgers bother you? What's your opinion of slitting the throats of fully conscious animals, that's legal for Muslim/Jewish slaughtermen (but not for British ones), and there's no scientific or rational basis for it whatsoever. Unlike gassing badgers.
