Good to see a little more pressure being applied to Tameside Council, which as far as I can see, still looks to be living in the 1970s. (Or am I being too generous?)

Isn't it a bit odd that for a Labour run council, it requires so many union staff? You would of thought that workers rights, a fair wage and all that bollocks that Labour lecture the private sector to do, would of been spot on at the so called 4 star council.

Outrageous. Nothing more than legalised theft. Why should WE pay for that?

I agree that this is an outrageous figure. These union reps earn more than me and I have to pay a monthly sub out of my wages to go into the union too.

How many disputes have there been at the council that have cause the staff to walk out, how many days have been lost through industrial action, how may staff have had a grievance dealt with and resolves.
Thats why they have such good industrial relations ,and that's why they are worth it.

Now tell us why WE should fund it.

Indeed, we pay for staff to work and not skiving off doing union activity.

Poor Auntie Mary will loose her home-help but Tameside can still find £250K every year to pay for these political layabouts.
