It looks like I will have to declare war

As a rule I am a peaceful kind of guy, I am usually courteous and I avoid confrontation wherever possible, but now I am angry, really really angry because of something I discovered today.

The day started well and I decided to head up to the hills to see if I could spot our local Mountain Hare wearing their white winter coats. Last time I was up at my favourite hare spotting location the Mountain Hare were still brown but beginning to turn white. That trip was ruined because of a chance encounter with a large group of killers/hunters and their hounds.

I knew finding the Mountain Hare would be a challenge because as their coats turn white they are perfectly camouflaged against the snow, and on the tops there is still snow present. Check out Sean Woods wildlife column in the Advertiser, he has a brilliant picture of a white Mountain Hare.

On the way up I took a picture of an inquisitive sheep and a finely coloured pheasant, the clouds were low and the air was cold - just as I like it! All was well when I reached the top, but I discovered I was not the only mad man crazy enough to venture up to such a desolate place at this time of year as I saw a set of footsteps in the snow. However, that was of no concern, what was of concern was that I could not find any trace of hare footprints in the snow.

Snow has been quite a rarity over recent years, but as we know this year there has been snow in abundance. In years gone by the Mountain Hare’s camouflage has worked against it because a brilliant white hare stands out against the greenish brown moor land grass which makes it very easy for enthusiastic amateurs such as I to spot.

But with snow still on the ground in many places I thought this year I will find them by following their footprints in the snow. However, I was puzzled and then worried as I could find absolutely no trace of hare footprints. It was at this point I started thinking back to my December 9th encounter with the hunters and hounds. I knew they did not kill the hares I know of on that day, but had they returned since and killed these timid creatures? Creatures which could never be accused of killing livestock like hunters accuse foxes of. They could not be accused of spreading disease or destroying farmers crops either. In fact a Mountain Hare is neither a predator nor a pest and only people with sick minds could ever dream of butchering them, unless of course they were starving and needed food.

Sadly I found no Mountain Hare today, but I did find remains close to where I encountered the hunters and their hounds. It looks like war has been declared!

Bosch car parts factory closed last week in Cardiff, 900 jobs 'lost', in reality transferred to Hungary.
Cadbury, an extremely successful, famous, long established and profitable company taken over by giant American food group Kraft. Massive job 'losses', in reality work transferred to Slovenia, Turkey or somewhere similar, to follow. And all to make a tiny number of shareholders and associated greedy b******s even wealthier.
Isn't globalisation and the new international capitalism great.

Old Labour said...

Globalisation is the new capitalism. The free movement of capital and labour is the dream of the bosses. They now have a workforce which they can exploit to their hearts content. The Victorian mill owners could only have dreamed of the exploitative opportunities Internationalism has gifted the bosses.

Hey Mr Blue Collar Worker, here is the deal, you can take a pay cut or you can leave, forget your protestations because for every one of your kind priced out of the labour market there will be ten migrant workers waiting to take your job. If your job requires training or is very labour intensive which makes giving your job to a migrant worker problematic, here is the solution; we will export your job to Eastern Europe or a sweat shop in Asia. Which ever way you look at it the exploitative Internationalist wins.

To kill a defenceless animal like that is sickening. Shame on whoever is responsible.

OLD LABOUR WHATS THAT COMMENT GOT TO DO WITH THIS NEWS ARTICAL?

Is there any proof that this is a result of "hunting" and not that it was eaten by a wild animal TC?

Old Labour, 'the free movement of capital and labour' is also the dream of New Labour. Are you a member of this bunch of Nation State hating traitors, and would you still vote for them?

Britain First said...

The Bosch closure was typical; 'It's the recession'; 'It's lack of demand'; 'It's etc etc etc'. But when demand goes up those parts will be made in Hungary not Wales.
The recession is the perfect excuse for ruthless employers to cut costs and manipulate, discard and exploit their workforce.

Any true socialist who votes for New Labour is either mad, senile, a coward or an idiot.

BNP to put own seals on ballot boxes over fraud fears and this is what the democracy hating Unison union have say in response. Unison members should be aware that their union subs to the tune of £380,000 was squandered on an anti-BNP campaign in the first four months of 2009. Here is some information on what other anti-democracy plotters spent at the same time, and guess what, they failed!

The Labour Party is now totally propped up financially by the Public Sector unions so they think they can control government policy. Time these anti-democratic Marxist thugs were put back in their box.

Don't think much of it, for the simple reason your a fake set up party. Make all drug addicts work for their benefits. Stop the millions in child benefit going to Poland, and the Billions going to India. UKIP address the scandal of the 25,000 British pensioners freezing to death each year while we give millions, billions to foreigners.

ukip said...

Take it you did not read it then? The policy addresses ALL of those issues. Its fully costed and ties in with our education and tax policies. If we were a fake set up party why would we produce a policy that was different, distinctive and beneficial to everybody?
Poor attempt

You see, ukip if we can recover the billions sent to India and the rest of the third world, we can prevent 25,000 British pensioners from freezing death each year in Britain no?

ukip said...

Of course it does, But lets not forget much foreign aid is not aid at all, It is bribes for British industry. UKIP would not pay billions in aid to the likes of India, with its own space program, aircraft carriers and Nukes. UKIP would also stop paying benefits to people who had been in the UK for less than ten years, It would also stop paying Child benefit to EU children. UKIP would also stop the the UK from paying subsidies to EU farmers, which prevents African farmers exporting to the UK. Allowing countries other than the EU to import crops into the UK, would save Billions of lives in Africa, massively reduce poverty on that continent and reduce the attempts at economic migration.

106 Days Left, I have no proof the hare was killed by the hunters, but the circumstantial evidence they were involved is overwhelming. I have known the whereabouts of this little commune of hares for a number of years. In the summer they are high up on top of the moor land but in the winter they come lower down for protection from the elements.

The particular hare pictured above has always occupied the same territory during the colder months and is semi tame. Then all of a sudden I have an encounter with the hunters in the same location as where the hares shelter. I come back a month later and the only hares to be found are dead hares and who by all accounts suffered an agonising death as a result of being attacked by hounds. If you disbelieve me; click on the images of the dead hares.

ukip the problem in Africa is aids and the birth rate. And the thousands of HIV Africans now in Britain....................

GMP, I appreciate your concerns and things have recently got out of hand in the comments section. However, a major contributor to this site, a person who was frequently the focus of many allegations has now pledged he will never post on this site again. Hopefully, if he sticks to his word this blog will settle down to normality and some good, uncensored debate can be had between the citizens of Tameside who visit this site and have an opinion to express.

UKIP rather than saving billions of lives in Africa, the need to stop them shagging like rabbits is more important.

The issue that thousands of Africans with AIDS are now living in England and using the NHS, this is a major concern. Sending billions to Africa so that the birth rate continues to go through the roof, shows the sense of ukip policy. Send all the Africans with AIDS back to Africa. They should not be using our NHS.

ukip said...

I posted my last comment before I realised TC had kindly created a new thread. I will comment no further on this thread and will answer your point on the new one.

Anonymous said...

The thread is simple! why do we send billions to Africa so that the birth rate goes through the roof, then our NHS is looking after Africans with AIDS. It's just madness, thousands of Africans heading for Britain to use our NHS.

The first step in the selection of the most effective concrete repair technique is diagnosing the cause of failure, and ensuring that the technique used makes the repaired area resistant to this original cause of failure. If this is not done, the repair will fail; it is also likely that the damage will be extended to the adjoining parts of the structure.

All Iam saying TC is that you don't have any real proof it is more than possable that this Hare was cought and eaten by another Animal don't forget there has been a lot of snow and food has been scarse. The lies and propaganda pushed out by Labour and that twit "K Y" which isn't his name but his hoby for reasons I wont publish will be found out at the election that the general public are more bothered about food on their table and being able to pay for heating etc than a truely pathetic class war.
