A gesture of seasonal good will

I bought this Nintendo Wii around this time last year. After the initial novelty wore off it was relegated, or should that be ‘elevated’ to the loft, a place where it has remained until now. It is in excellent, almost brand new condition and is in perfect working order. It also has three games with it.

Rather than it gathering dust in the loft I am prepared to give it to a local child/family if they are genuinely in need this Christmas. When I say ‘in need’, I mean a kid or kids who through no fault of their own are likely to get very little this Christmas. Not a boy like Oliver who will be disappointed that his iPod is only the 8gb model and not the 16gb he wanted, or a girl like Olivia who will devastated that her new laptop is silver and not pink like she requested. I mean a kid who will wake up on Christmas morning to a colouring book, a set of felt tip pens and nothing more.

If you know of anyone who fit’s the bill. Send me contact details and as long as I believe it is a genuine case I will arrange for it to be delivered by Christmas Eve. There will be no fanfare or ceremony and the recipient will remain anonymous. The Nintendo Wii would be of little use to any child under the age of seven so please bear that in mind. And finally, if there are any takers I am depending on seasonal goodwill on your part too. It would be low down and vermin like to make up a sob story to just get the Wii as a free gift to yourself or to sell on EBay.

I would have been disappointed if that was the case because you can only oppose Nazis when playing Medal of Honour . However, on the Microsoft combat flight simulator………………………………................................................

Moldovan Christians tear down public menorah

About 200 fundamentalist Orthodox Christians in Moldova, led by a priest spouting anti-Semitic slurs, took down a public Chanukah menorah and planted a wooden cross in its place.

News footage showed the bearded priest leading the group in chanting anti-Semitic slogans during Sunday's incident. The menorah had been installed by the Jewish community in the Moldovan capital, Chisinau.

The group removed the large, metal menorah, which had been set up on downtown Europe Square, and then placed it upside down on Stefan cel Mare Square, at the base of a statue of King Stephen the Great. Neither police nor onlookers intervened.

"The Jews can try to kill us, to traumatize our children," but Moldovan Orthodox believers will resist, the priest said, speaking into a sound system. Moldova, he said, was an Orthodox country, and the Jewish people are trying to "dominate people." Allowing the menorah to be set up had been "a sacrilege, an indulgence of state power today," he said.

Justice Minister Alexandru Tanese condemned the incident and the Orthodox Metropolitan promised to investigate and take action, according to reports.

Incitement to racial and religious hatred in Moldova is subject to a fine or imprisonment of up to three years.

In neighbouring Romania, the Center for Monitoring and Combating Anti-Semitism issued a statement urging authorities to take "immediate measures" against the perpetrators. "Such an act committed by a priest with the Orthodox Church is totally inconceivable and it takes us back to the days when the local population, if it did not participate, witnessed with indifference the crimes committed against the Jews," the center's statement said.

British National Party activists must take a well-deserved break for a few days and then prepare themselves for an early election by March or April, Nick Griffin MEP has said.

Speaking to BNPtv just prior to the highly successful BNP Black Country “Christmas Lecture” event held in the West Midlands, Mr Griffin said he now expected the Government to call an early election rather than face the electorate after the budget.

“The country’s economy is in such a mess that Gordon Brown is likely to cut and run and hold an election before the budget,” Mr Griffin said. “Facing the public after the budget is likely to see the Labour Party wiped out.”

Mr Griffin said the BNP would be fighting the election on three major issues: the Afghanistan war, the EU and immigration.

“It is vital that all BNP activists now take a breather for a few days and come back ready for the possibility of an early election,” Mr Griffin said.

Paul can empty a room in seconds when hes on form God knows what he eats and drinks but his guff is very powerful.
Did not think anyone outside the Tory Party knew about his problem, we call him Johnny after the character in the Viz comic(Johnny fart pants)

"Britain who claims to have the world's oldest democratic system has expressed readiness to make changes to its legal system to avoid issuing arrest warrants for Israeli officials over committing war crimes," Nasrallah said.

A British court recently issued an arrest warrant for Livni over links to Israeli war crimes against Palestinians during its December 2008 - January 2009 offensive which left over 1,400 Palestinians dead in the Gaza Strip.

Livni canceled her participation in a meeting in London after the verdict was issued.

The arrest warrant sparked furor among Israeli officials who warned the UK of strained relations.

"Israel calls on the British government to fulfill, once and for all, its promises and prevent an abuse of the British legal system against Israel and its citizens by anti-Israel elements," a statement by the Israeli Foreign Ministry said.

"The lack of determined and immediate action to correct this distortion harms the relations between the two countries," it added.

In response, British Foreign Secretary David Miliband* expressed regret over the verdict and vowed to alter the law so that judges could no longer issue arrest warrants against Israeli officials or military officers.

Several Israeli officials have canceled visits to Britain because of similar arrest warrants issued after the Gaza war.

Guess what race/religion David Milliband is.
