This is an interesting development. It certainly appears that the Government is hiving off responcibility for checking I.D. to private businesses. I like the bit where it says that one poster should be out of sight of the customers! What are they hiding?
Given that the government dont seem to like drink (probably due to all the Scotch Calvinists in it!) I like the way that they promote these cards by saying they will help you prove your age in order to buy drink.
