As you will notice the nice picture of the church known as St Michael & All Angels of Ashton under Lyne has now been removed from the main header. The church authorities requested I remove the image because they do not want their church to be associated with this blog. The first reason cited was that they believed this blog is the property of Roy West. During a telephone conversation with the person in charge I assured them it wasn’t, however they still requested I remove the image. I have since been informed the second reason they insisted I remove the image is because they disagree with the views of some of the contributors to this blog. I was and am under no legal obligation to remove the image, but I am not in the business of needlessly annoying people so in the interests of peace I have granted their request.
I myself am a practising Christian albeit of the RC persuasion. I found the request to remove the image hurtful. It was, even if I say so myself, a particularly good photograph of the magnificent church of St Michael’s. I can think of no justifiable reason for such a request to be made. If this blog was promoting violence, pornography. gambling or any other form of vice or degeneracy I could understand, but it is nothing other than a very amateurish attempt at providing a free speech discussion platform for the people of Tameside - regardless of race, colour, creed, sexual orientation or political persuasion. It is my belief that the church authorities object to the image being used because they are trying to assert their credentials as paid up members of the Über PC brigade.
I find it sad that the Western Christian denominations - with no exceptions, but some worse offenders than others have abandoned the bible and preaching’s of the lord and replaced them with the new ‘religion’ based around the distorted ideology of Political Correctness. If you only ever attend church services for christenings, weddings and funerals this statement will appear ludicrous. Anyone who attends church on a regular basis will more likely than not know where I am coming from. Out are the teachings of the gospel and sermons of fire and brimstone, in are requests to lobby parliament to help alleviate the problems of Third World debt, as well as happy clappy sing a long’s. As a traditionalist I have no time for this nonsense, and by the looks of it not many other people do either because as we know; most churches can barely stay open due to lack of attendees at mass.
I would like to add; I am not saying I view Third World debt as nonsense. This is a serious issue and an issue which I feel strongly about. The Third World debt crisis does not benefit us as people and it condemns million upon million of the earths poorest inhabitants to lives of misery brought about by abject poverty. Third World debt is a political tool of the global elite, but it is a political matter and not a religious matter.

I had this amazing dream, or was it a nightmare? I dreamt I went a way for a few days and when I returned the comments section of this blog had turned from being a platform for civil discussion into a cyber world version of Bedlam. Thank goodness it was all in my mind and the sensible people representing some of the minor political parties in Tameside did not really engage in such insanity! Or did they?
While I think about it I think moderation is the only solution.

Ex-Commie, it is a real pain to delete comments, especially when out of the 197 comments displayed only 20 or 30 were sensible. There was comments alleging paedophilia, suggesting brainwashing was acceptable and even talk of people being lobotomised for being un-PC. 15 or 20 insane comments I would have the patience to delete, but when you are talking well over a 100 I am afraid a mass cull is the easiest option. I do wish people would think before posting their insane rants.

Thanks UKIP, no, the above was not directed at you. As I have said many times before - you are one of the few people, Tom Hatton is another who, actually stand your ground and argue your point well. It is the snipers hiding from public view but creating mayhem with false and lurid accusations and allegations who are the problem.
I have alerted the benefits office that someone working in that department has posted information about my benefits on this blog. What I get is with-in the law. Also the people that have maliciously reported me to this office could themselves be prosecuted.
Every time Roy West is mentioned all the heroic 'anti-fascist' bully boys pile in thinking they've scented an easy target. Mr West always reacts in the same multi-posting manner. I certainly don't agree with everything he says but he was right when he said, 'If you can't take it don't dish it out'.
Mr Cooke is being a bit disingenuous when he tries to come across all sweetness, reasonableness and innocence. Personally I ignore the looney comments and think this is generally a very entertaining and informative blog.
John Yates, I posted my views on racism, I was then subjected to many posts accusing me of paedophilia by association. I did not know who anonymous was, so did not respond. I found out last night, it was Roy and from that point on my posts were anything but restrained. I am not above a bit of mudslinging and will fight my corner. I do not post anonymous comments, unless it is necessary in order to post links.
Please do not think I am either 'sweet' or 'innocent', I do try to be reasonable and polite though.
If you don't like being accused of being associated with a paedophile, which is true although you're not guilty of anything, don't throw accusations of racism out all the time. The BNP believe ethnicity and in particular the massive population growth of certain non-indigenous groups will adversely change our national identity irreversibly, a perfectly reasonable point of view which has a racial element to it.
The insulting accusations dished out are of racial supremacism and would be oppression of non-white groups, a position of pure bigotry that has nothing whatsoever to do with the BNP. If you're going to falsely insult and accuse members of a perfectly legitimate Party, expect some retaliation.

The person I was associated with, by meeting three times! was a free citizen. He was clear on the CRB, was trusted by people, and even by the royal family.His flat even overlooked the school my kids went to. Try to make an insinuation from that!

I have wrote to UKIP about Mr Cookes malicious comments on here about my benefit, I have told the head office that what I get in benefits are with-in the law. I have taken legal advice relating to Mr Cookes on-going comments about my lawful claim to Carers Allowance. Mr Cooke will have the opportunity to challenge my lawfull cliam to this Allowance in a court of law, Rather than maliciously posting about my lawful claim.
