Transport - How transport in Tameside has changed through history.

An interesting historical video focusing on transport in Tameside throughout the ages. It is clever how despite using still images for the film the producers brought it to life by adding sound effects for each image. I thought the narration was good but the subtitles were a mistake and in my opinion were not necessary. The penny farthing bicycles pictured in Dukinfield look like challenging contraptions to ride - if you fell from of those you would certainly know about it.

Oh dear it's the Trams are the future brigade. Central Manchester has the slowest traffic flow in Western Europe thanks to such thinking and many local Council's Government inspired hatred of the private car.

F**k Trams. I want the roadspace back that I paid for.
