A great day was had by all, I think.

I think the day was a poor attempt of the Labour Councillors to pretend to be patriotic now that they are losing support to the Conservatives.

Hideously white, no diversity in evidence. Come on Tameside stop pandering to the xenophobic hate mongering bigots and give us a truly representative and diverse event where everyone regardless of background or culture can feel welcome. My husband has taken note that Tameside is not doing enough to promote diversity and inclusiveness.

Why should the English patron Saint's day be 'diverse'? Ask any Asian living here how they describe themselves, they'll say 'British Asian' not English, indeed they don't like being described as such. Hard for PC nutters like you to grasp but their ethnicity is part of who they are.
