Is this a real Kingston Micro SD Card?
I think we all know the answer! I have been away for a few weeks and today on my return got the opportunity to visit the wonderful indoor market in Ashton. It is the first time since the fire I have been in and I must say it was impressive. It feels far more spacious and airy than it used to. I purchased this ‘bargain’ SD card for £6.00 from an unidentified stall holder. I thought it seemed cheap for a branded Micro SD but took a chance anyway. When I arrived home and checked it though, that old saying about if something seems too good to be true………………come to mind. It seems to work ok and I have no intention of taking the matter any further, but am I guilty of turning a blind eye to what is essentially a crime?

TC, this is an obvious fake. As someone who worked on a site for a company which sold such items, fake cards have cheap internal circuits which may fuse/blow your equipment using fake cards.
Memory cards are as cheap as chips. I picked up a 4gb micro SD card for £4 without my staff discount. So there really is no excuse for going with unreputable sources.
Cheers Liam, I would not dream of using it with an expensive piece of kit but thanks for the advice.
One thing I have been meaning to ask you for ages is about your damascene conversion to the iPhone. When I asked you about them last year you said the ‘i’ stood for idiot because they were rubbish, and correct me if I am wrong, but are you yourself now not an iPhone user? Also, what do you think about the new ‘Google’ phone exclusive to T-Mobile? I heard it recently outperformed the iPhone 3G in a Smartphone shootout on The Gadget Show?
