Former royal butler faces jail for sex with underage boys

A former royal butler facing a jail sentence for having sex with underage boys once ushered young victims into conversation with the Queen Mother at a Clarence House Christmas party. Paul Kidd, 55, described as a smooth-talking charmer, claimed to know the secrets of life at Buckingham Palace where he worked for the Queen for six years during the 1970s. He charged £2,000-£4,000 on the lucrative after dinner circuit, and on cruise ships lecture tours to tell what he called “hilarious” anecdotes about life in royal service. At the time, he was seducing and sexually abusing underage boys believed to be as young as 12 and 13. He changed his plea today to guilty on a host of representative charges of both historic and more current paedophile activity shortly before his trial was due to start at Minshull Street Crown Court, in Manchester. Kidd, who lives in a two-bedroom flat in Stalybridge, Cheshire, was appointed butler to the Queen in 1976 and worked there for six years before transferring to Clarence House to carry out similar work for the Queen Mother. He claimed to have looked after three US Presidents and every monarch in Europe during that time, and later boasted that in 1979 he was awarded the Most Noble Order of Merit by the West German President. When police raided his flat, decorated by autographed photographs of Manchester United stars, they discovered indecent videotapes in his locked safe, and a host of encripted files containing similar material on his computer. In total, he possessed more 18,000 images of young boys of various levels of indecency. It was suggested to the investigating team, but never established, that the password to enter his encripted files - pickles - was the name of one of the royal corgis. The Times

Yet again another story has been taken over by Roy West what has this story got to do with you?
I have looked at your comments and there is nothing about the main story.
For once keep things on topic.

I hope UKIP distance themselves from this awful man.

Paul Kidd was suspended from UKIP as soon as these allegations were made. Bearing in mind the length of time he has been on remand, his (suspended) membership will have lapsed. It would be completely wrong to expel somebody from a party until their guilt was proven.
Paul Kidd has now pleaded guilty to some truly repulsive crimes, and I hope he receives a sentence that will deter others
Nobody within the branch had any idea or suspicion's, after all If you cannot trust a Royal butler who can you trust.
I would hope that people would have the sense to realise that these crimes were committed by an individual, not a party. His political views have no bearing upon his trial.

What this disgusting man did deserves the death sentance for.
I agree with the UKIP poster to say what this man did has nothing to with the party there are many vile people in all parties and just because one person did these vile crimes doesn't mean we tarnish everyone with the same brush as there are many good people in all parties.
