Support your local shops

I nominate Vac Services in Hyde as an excellent shop. I use this shop whenever I need bags for my vacuum cleaner. Sadly I have never had the experience of meeting another customer in this shop which is sad because the shopkeeper is very helpful and very knowledgeable on most matters electrical. It is very easy to pick up bulbs, fans, vacuum cleaners and accessories from supermarkets, but every time we do so we are hammering another nail in the coffin of independent small businesses such as Vac Services. Next time you need a small electrical item give this place a try and see what you think. I find the prices comparable to a supermarket but the service offered is in a different league. And before anyone thinks I am somehow connected to this shop and am doing nothing other than giving it a shameless plug – you are wrong; I do not know the proprietor in any other capacity than me being an occasional customer.

Good shout TC, we should support small local shops because when they are gone the corporate giants will rule supreme.

Sorry, I have a Dyson. Endless suction.

I voted no to proportional representation. Look where it got Barnbrook on the London Assembly.

PR is for those who cant get elected.

Tameside Council are responsible for the situation as regards many independent local shops.
Parking restrictions, Pavement widening, High parking fees and nonsensical planning permits are the cause of many retailers problems.
Every time they allow a new superstore they claim they are providing new jobs, they fail to mention all the small stores that have closed.

Thanks for that TC. It's important to support our local, independant shops who have suffered at the hands of the supermarket mafias. The ability of the supermarkets to sell certain products as lost leaders puts many people out of business.

BNP ENTER THE MAINSTREAM OF BRITISH POLITICS.

BNP London Assembly Member Richard Barnbrook, 47, opposition leader on Barking and Dagenham council, campaigned on a platform of strong opposition to immigration and to special treatment for minorities.

He said he would fight to ensure that in future "every Londoner is treated the same - no political correctness and no positive discrimination. Nobody will be favoured over anyone else regardless of creed or colour."

But he denied he was an extremist, insisting: "I speak far more common sense than the other three paties."

Mr Barnbrook is a former artist who trained at the Royal Academy and is engaged to Simone Clarke, until recently a leading ballerina at the English National Ballet. She supports the BNP 100%.

Mr Barnbrook insisted he would be a voice for "true Londoners" who feel disenfranchised.

I still shed a silent tear for the passing of "Ashton Model Shop" of Old Street (201)? opposite The Witchwood. Known for years as "Charlie's" now replaced by the shite buildings errected by "ASK Property Developements"

(Yes, the same ASK who gave £5000 to Central Manchester Labour Party in 2004)

Cheers TC, it may look better if you remove the last three posts as well, or post that you have 'removed a disgusting post.
The following posts are a comment upon it.'

Cheers UKIP – done! It is obvious we have trouble causers posting on this blog. I know somebody was recently posting on here claiming to be you, but their lack of manners and shoddy style gave the game away. It is undoubtedly a ploy to get everyone arguing with everyone and I would be amazed if local Labour Party members were not involved. I also thought the post linking to a site attacking Anthony Jones was disgusting and totally below the belt.

Tameside Eye; I used to swear by Dyson, but after James Dyson betrayed his British workers and relocated his production to Malaysia I decided I would boycott his products. I now use a German made Miele vacuum cleaner and I honestly think it is better than any Dyson I have ever owned. Which magazine also done a test on different types of vacs and Miele come on top.

The UK Independence Party is calling for David Cameron to apologise after he claimed its members were "fruitcakes, loonies and closet racists, mostly".
The Conservative leader made the remarks during a phone-in on the London radio station LBC.

Gordon Brown's personal ratings are falling dramatically and Labour is slipping further behind the Conservatives, a poll has showed.

Gordon Brown: Net approval fallingThe survey found Labour is trailing David Cameron's party by six points - double last month's margin.

While the Tories are unchanged on 41%, Labour have slumped to 35% (down three).

The Liberal Democrats, on 13%, have gained two points in the wake of Sir Menzies' Campbell's resignation as leader

What is interesting is that no one from David's party actually came on here to support him which is wrong.

While some may argue with David Cameron on many issues
One thing he has done is make the Conservative an electable oposition.
The YouGov opinion polls put Labour on 23%
Conservative 49%
That's 26% difference.
While that 26% may narrow i can't see Labour turning that round.
I predict a new Government in 2010
and with a 1997 style landslide.

I also agree with UKIP and TC regarding comments over Tony Jones while i don't agree with a lot of what he says the personal attack against him was disgusting.

Oh and i support local shops to keep things on topic

Thanks for the words of support, much appreciated

We all think that the comments left on here about you were vile. The Tameside BNP will move on from the out dated racial politics that you belong to. The New Nationalism will have a realistic out-look on the campaign in Tameside. Racism will not, and should not hold the BNP back from the growing support in this area. The BNP must allow moderation to be apart of future campaigns in Tameside.
