Not a chance while Roy Oldham is in charge, but god help us if the likes of Quinn ever get the top job. Regardless of political affiliation it is difficult to argue against the fact that Cllr Oldham has done a good job in keeping Tameside one of the best boroughs in Greater Manchester. Compare this to neighbouring Manchester, a council dominated by Champagne Marxists of the worst variety, odious creatures such as Leese and Karney. This video clip features the decimation of Moston, but the Manchester Marxists have inflicted similar torture on many other parts of the city, this video could easily have been filmed in Gorton, Openshaw, Beswick, Levenshulme to name just a few.

Always look on the bright side of life Moston.
OMG that us unbelievable - bigger than St Pauls cathederal! Please wake me up and tell me this is all a just a bad nightmare.
What are you on about? Roy Oldham couldnt run a piss up in a brewery.
.
4 star excellant council and the strongest Labour group in the country fancy a pint with him ?
It is unfair to blame the Labour government and local authority for this kind of urban decay. The rot started under Thatcher - she was the one who said "there is no such thing as community" and then proceeded to decimate the working class.
Don't blame Labour for the evil done by the Tories.
Tameside Vip
You talk a lot of crap don't you deary me me you still blaming Thatcher.
OK then i'm going to blame
James Callaghan and Harold Wilson
or what about Clement Attlee after the war.
The reason why the entire Country blames your party it's because you have a arrogant inept Prime Minister and a arrogant inept cabinet.
I do though blame the Conservatives for a part as well as for far too long we were not a strong enough opposition and not able to bring them to task.
As to be a good Government you need a good opposition now we are and people can see it.
And that's why we will be the next Government

It is obvious Tameside VIP is too young to remember the decay that blighted places like Salford and Moss Side in the late 70s and early 80s.
It was the Thatcher Government, that lead the regeneration programme of these areas. Michael Heseltine was a pioneer that saw the beginning of Manchester's transformation from a decaying wreck of a city into the vibrant place it is today.
Even lefty-pinko types like the M.E.N.s Ray King accept this.
And what was the best Labour could muster at the time? In the words of their own leader of the period, "I’ll tell you what happens with impossible promises. You start with far-fetched resolutions. They are then pickled into a rigid dogma, a code, and you go through the years sticking to that, out-dated, misplaced, irrelevant to the real needs, and you end in the grotesque chaos of a Labour council – a Labour council – hiring taxis to scuttle around a city handing out redundancy notices to its own workers."
Why do you think that Manchester is the leading city in the North West today and not Liverpool?
Thatcher transformed millions of peoples lives for the better. She allowed working class people to aspire to better things, to own their homes, to become self-reliant. Such things lead to greater pride in an individual's life. The opposite of this is Labour's aim to control through a system of benefit culture.
Tameside VIP your comments unfortunately are vacuous and shallow in the most extreme.
Take note Taylor you bent tw@t
Simon-Porker, Manchester has nothing left thanks to you lot. You destroyed manufacturing to be replaced by McJobs. The only reason your party is having a slight resurgence is because the Labour Party have lost short term popular support because we had to make make some difficult choices that some people resented.
