Here are four random pages taken from an excellent UKIP booklet currently being distributed in key UKIP wards throughout Tameside. The booklet is full colour, 12 pages, and professionally produced. In my opinion it is going to be real vote winner.

No hopers they will come last in every ward and then call it a day,to much competition from the real fascist the BNP.
UKIP ahhh! a party who promise 40% deduction in Council Tax? A party who produce a booklet which has no news about the wards they're standing in. How Personal? A vote for these or any other MINORITY PARTY and you might as well have voted for Labour. The ONLY OPOSITION PARTY in Tameside are the Conservatives Vote Blue Go Green Save Money!
If the Tories were not so economically Illiterate they would know council tax only accounts for around 20% of expenditure. A cut of 8% in Tameside expenditure would allow a 40% council tax cut. The booklets are in addition to election addresses which are local. We did want to inform the public of our national policies, perhaps the Conservatives could try telling us what they stand for?
It looks nothing like the dross that's been delivered near me. It looks like its been printed straight from a computer - a 1985 BBC Home Computer.
My three-year-old has better PC skills than the shower that put it together.
And it contains nothing about the candidate, not even a photo. We have to be careful with UKIP. Is it not true that 16.6% of their Tameside candidates from last year are currently facing child rape charges? The public need to know.
Not everything is about money, it is how it is managed. As the Tories spout on, services don't require more and more money (with a few exceptions and this one too) they require better management which sticks to strict budgets and that means cutting out made up positions and pats on the back. Unfortunately John Bell doesn't really go on about the incomptence of council staff and management at the council like Colin Grantham used to do as he is too frightened of causing a stir with the unions.
As Roy Oldham once said to TMBC council staff "Make sure you vote Labour to keep your jobs".
It is a shame that Tameside Tories have gone soft on issues, yet are more happy to spout on in the press.
You would of thought UKIP would of kept Tameside Tories on its toes, it has done nothing at all. Most people in the party are far too complacent with their safe seats which makes them just as bad as Labour in my eyes.
No work and no leaflet in many wards from the Tories its a disgrace and these are the official opposition, its a good job they don't want to be in control of Tameside happy to be the opposition.
John Bell clearly isn't a "Cameroon" as displayed in the last council meeting. When Charlie Meridith asked "What is all this vote blue go green stuff all about" in his departing speech, John Bell replied by laughing and said "I am a true blue". And I know I go on about it all the time, but John Bell is adamant on supporting the bypass even though he doesn't have a clue and isn't willing to listen to both sides of the arguement.
Nothing has changed in Tameside at all. It is a rather unfortunate state of affairs. There are people in Tameside Tories with fire in their bellies, but some people are far too complacent and lack to challenge Labour on issues which costs Tameside Tories loyal votes which ultimately defect to UKIP and the BNP.
I must say that John Bell has brought Tameside Tories forward by creating a media spotlight for himself in the press, but there needs to be more substance to the style. John Bell has had many issues which he could of easily taken advantage of on a plate, yet many as you are all aware are ignored.
As much as I have respect for Derek, I think Claire Francis, someone who is young, could be good for the general complacent council and give Tameside Tories a kick up the arse.
The reality is that all parties are suffering from a lack of decent and young candidates. I can't wait until Stacey Knighton, Paul Buckley, Gareth Quinn and even Tom Hatton (when he is old enough) become councillors for Tameside.
The general public do want younger councillors. Look at Parker-Perry for example. He came first in Longdendale for the all out elections.
And when I say defectors, look closely in Tameside.
David Jones - I am not aware of his position within Tameside BNP, but I do know that he is highly regarded by his fellow members. He is an asset to any party. David, is a former member of Ashton Conservatives many years ago in the Thatcher era.
John Cooke - A member of Stalybridge and Hyde Conservatives only a few years ago. Now he is the chair of Tameside UKIP. Again, John is on the ball with issues and is loyal to his party.
Even though I disagree with many of policies of the BNP and envy UKIP for taking Conservative votes, you have to give them credit where it is due for bringing their parties forward locally.
You reckon Tameside Tories are a shit opposition? Shit enough to be the subject of a full-page, full colour Labour advert in tonight's Advertiser I see...
The problem with the Tories is not that they're shit, but that their isn't enough of them. With each passing year their numbers have increased and they are becoming better organised, with better campaigns and better publicity.
They have improved and they will continue to improve.
John Bell has hit the nail on the head with every major issue since becoming leader. There have been some misses, but only because they don't have big enough numbers yet on the council.
Eight against 44 is a tall order. They are doing a very good job with such numbers against them. I don't see any other party putting up much of an opposition. The main protagonists of the minority parties seem to spend all their time talking amongst themselves on this blog.
This isn't just a Tory issue. It is an issue for all non-Labour parties. At the moment the council make-up is:
Labour 44 Tories 8 Mossley Independents 3 Lib Dem 1 (soon to be none)
So if the Tories are a shit opposition, then are the rest shitter?
I don't want to make personal comments so I will keep my remarks general. Personalities will be mentioned in passing, usually favourably!
I probablly miss going to only one or two Full Council meetings or district assemblies a year so I see a lot of councillors in action.
The Labour ones, especially the cabinet deputies clearly understand that they have a clear majority and will win every vote. Sufficient discussion is allowed to give a facade of democracy.
Continueing on from the above, the Tories are allowed to contribute sufficient to allow the Labour Party to hide behind the facade of Democracy mentioned earlier.
I miss Colin Grantham. Unfortunately many of his arguments were too subtle or technical for the Labour benches and they resorted to ridicule of what they could not understand and was thus dismissed as "Rubbish".
Many of Cllr Oldhams views are pure BNP policy, particularly his views on anti-social behaviour and crime. I agree with them! Also the Labour benches are 'hideously white' to quote BBC boss Greg Dyke.
I get two distinct impressions.
1) The Tories are fighting an uphill struggle with one haand tied behind their back. It seems at times that someone or something is holding them back, preventing them from fighting effectively. Comments?
2) The Labour party deliberately misrepresent Tory actions, like the Tories' refusal to vote for the budget is misrepresented as being against the spending of money on the police. A free local press would expose this...but that is yet another issue
One week to go before polling day and still no leaflet from the Tories in Dukinfield, well lets see if we can help. My team have finished our leaflets had them out early to catch the postal voters so we are willing to deliver the Tory leaflet for them, its a genuine offer just contact us,we do know that last year they had no leaflet candidate told to do her own if she wanted great Tory values (me first )so make the call Dukinfield Tory voters deserve much better than you are offering and yes we will remind them of your contempt for them if you don't do a leaflet.
At least the Tories are putting up a candidate in Dukinfield. I think it's been wise for them to focus on wards what they could win and will win. Why spread yourself to thin i think the Labour party are secretly happy that the Tories are putting up. I do feel sorry for the people of Dukinfield though as i would have liked a leaflet from the Tories to have been sent out but i don't really think it would make any difference to the amount of votes to be honest.
I notice that the Labour Party are standing only ONE candidate from an ethnic minority, and that person in a seat expected to return the sitting non-Labour candidate.
And what's this "Labour and co-operative Party" now used by cllrs Parker-Perry and Robinson?? A subtle plan to turn Labour into a minority party and ease out cllr Oldham???

Vote Blue Go Green is a pile of crap. Since when has Tameside Tories been "green"?
Name your green proposals.

Vote Blue go green normally do when being sick.

Dear Ex Tory Voter
Which ward do you live in?
Ex Tory Voter:
That is patently not true.
Send a copy of the Dukinfield ward leaflet to this blog for publication, LETS SEE HOW IT LOOKS.
Does ex-Tory Voter clean windows for a living?
" Believe me the Tories aren't green. It gets in the way of their Jags ".
Jonathan Bowden. Ex-Tory and former member of the Monday club before being kicked out for telling the truth.
Lol. I can tell you for a fact that the first thing John Bell did after winning his seat in Werneth last May was to go and buy a Jaguar.
Many leading Tories have high powered cars and yet claim to be "green".
"Liam's potential successor"
What is that supposed to mean?
The above statement is true though.
John Bell clearly isn't a "Cameroon" as displayed in the last council meeting. When Charlie Meridith asked "What is all this vote blue go green stuff all about" in his departing speech, John Bell replied by laughing and said "I am a true blue". Still no Tory leaflet in Dukinfield, 126 from west and 4 from Labour.are they standing we were told they were.
Don't the Tories have a young girl who is a councillor they call her Ruth Welsbaby at the council shes always off having babies.
You mean Ruth has two Children how unusual?
So Anom are you saying if you are female Councillor then you shouldn't have kids?
Can Pauline Harrison tell the voters of Mottram Rise where her election leaflet is.
Have the distribution company not delivered it yet?
Some people in the ward have received it, along with a leaflet for clogs.
And we're still waiting for Paul Douthwaite's leaflet on the Hartshead Estate!
Is he too busy with his parish council election in his home town of MOSSLEY?
Mr Anonymous,

Yeah and how many ethnic minority candidates are the BNP standing?
The bnp are standing someone called gauchi and their droylsden candidate peter hindley looks like a gypsy. See tameside reporter.
Where's our leaflet Pauline?!!!
Mr. Douthwaite can I have a leaflet please?
PS: Not one from your home town, Mossley Parish Council campaign.
Did Labour's full-page Advertiser advert cost £2,600 + VAT?
Was it paid for via the credit card of a senior Labour member?
