Police in Tameside are appealing for witnesses after a gang of youths attacked a family on Park Road, Hyde.At around 9.20pm on Friday 4 April 2008, a 16-year-old boy was attacked by a group of four or five men outside the Ying Wah chip shop on Old Road, Hyde. The boy called his father and asked him to come and get him.The boy's father arrived a few minutes later with the victim's mother and an 18-year-old man. They collected the boy and drove along Park Road, where they came across the group.All three were then attacked by the group.A 43-year-old woman was dragged from the car by her hair and stamped on. She received a broken leg.A 41-year-old man was bottled over the head and received two small cuts to his head. An 18-year-old man was also assaulted and received minor facial injuries.Detective Constable Michael Robinson of Ashton CID said: "This was a violent and nasty assault on a number of innocent victims."The boy's family have come to collect him after he was assaulted and have been attacked themselves. Levels of violence like this show these yobs have a complete disregard for other people's safety."I believe they are local to the area and may often hang around in groups in the location of the incident. I would ask anyone that knows who these youths are to come forward and speak to police."Anyone with any information is asked to call Ashton CID on 0161 856 9254

The police have lost control. They disarm the public while at the same time arming themselves with more weaponry.....firearms, tasers, gas, clubs, body armour. They haven't the guts to walk the streets unarmed but expect US to!
Just try defending yourself
with a penknife and the local coppers swing into action against you.
And where were the much vaunted CCTV cameras while this was going on? Looking out for smokers and out-of-date car tax probably.
If you are going to fight back (and not just "stand up") against the yobs you need to organise and plan. Read Military history. Forget morality, remember tactics.
Find out who they are and take the war to their homes! Stop whingeing at the ineffectiveness of the police and utilise it. If the cops won't protect you, they won't protect the yobs.
Above all else, lose the macho ideal, the pub fight mentality.
Either go out to FIGHT and WIN or leave it alone. Don't go out to reason, argue, tell them to move etc. THEY DON'T UNDERSTAND.
