Pre-election ramble from Cllr Bell or yet another betrayal by our MP's?

Funny that this consultation is held after the elections. Unfortunately there is not another election after this one, it means any momentum the opposition parties have built up maybe for nothing in 2010.

Andrew Gwynne describes John Bell as being disgraceful? For what? Exposing Labour turning their back on the people that voted them in? I think it is all easy for us to sit here and analyse what these stooges are saying, but many of the public are left in the dark and need to be aware. A very week argument from Gwynne. Typical of Labour.

Interestingly no comment from David Heyes, yet Purnell makes a comment. Must be readily scripted from Hyde HQ.

Gareth Quinn has an excellent write up here.

A pre-election ramble? Not on your life! John Bell was exposing Labour hypocrisy for all its worth.

Stacey Knighton has also done an excellent piece on her blog about this issue, which can be found at:
http://staceyknighton4audenshaw.blogspot.com/2008/03/labours-betrayal-of-our-post-offices.html.

Apparently, Andrew Gwynne put out a press release a few weeks back boasting about Denton post office remaining open. Maybe he has assurances from Royal Mail that it will stay open, but what about the post offices in the rest of constituency like those in Audenshaw? Don’t they matter? Apparently not, if his vote last week is anything to go by. And to say he’s STILL a Tameside councillor until the 1st May then doesn’t that smack of nimbyism?

Is it a case that having climbed a few greasy yards up the pole in Westminster he’s forgotten where he came from?

As for Purnell, calling John Bell purely by his surname smacks of complete discourtesy for a political opponent making valid political judgements. Maybe JP is getting hot under the collar at JB’s excellent, on-going, hatchet job? Either that or he’s learnt a few lessons in arrogance, insolence and discourtesy from Labour in the seven years he’s supposedly been in Tameside?
