Police Searching For Power Drill Owners

Police in Tameside have found three power drills, which they would like to return to their rightful owner. On Sunday 10 February 2008, officers found three power tools, which had been dumped in a wheelie bin on Corporation Street, Stalybridge, but after checking the system no reports of these tools being lost or stolen have been made.Police community support officer Gary Etchells said: "Looking at the condition of the drills, they seem to be work tools and I am surprised no one has reported them as lost or stolen."If someone has noticed their power drills missing I would urge them to get in contact, because, as much as we can, we like to return property to their owners, but in this case we are struggling to locate them."The power drills have a serial number and will only be released to people who can produce a matching code. This will be found in the handbooks that are supplied with the tools when they are purchased.PCSO Etchells continued: "They seem to be in good working order and would be expensive to buy so we really hope we can track down the owners, as if they are not claimed, they may have to be destroyed."If anyone can provide any further information in relation to the power drills please contact 0161 856 9549.
