Had a Labour leaflet through the door this morning. Their main 'promise' is to increase Council Tax over the next three years. So there you have it - for increased Council Tax, Vote Labour!
Wrong bumper to bumper. They voted on the principle of the bid being examined subject to approval by public and business. at the meeting a number of Tory members spoke about their opposition to congestion charging. A week later the results of the consultation came out which showed opinion was SPLIT (even though this was based on questions asked that led people heavily towards a agreeing toward congestion charging). The Tories immediately withdrew their support.
This is documented fact. It was reported in the press at the time and it is on their website: http://www.tamesidetories.com/page.php?pid=122
No doubt Labour will try to muddy the water. They have nothing else to offer. They are ignorant and desperate.
Doreen is a very good councillor, we could do with more like her.
Suggesting Stacy will win Audenshaw is a little on the hopeful side. If I were a betting man I would say St. Michaels and Dukinfield Stalybridge are more likely.
If the Tories don't take seats this year cant see them ever taking any seat for a decade at least, its their best chance for a long long time lets see how they perform.
Is there any truth that Labour's grubby paws will be all over the postal votes this year? Did Labour pay UKIP members to stand last year? If so, are they planning to pay candidates from other parties to stand this year?
"Suggesting Stacy will win Audenshaw is a little on the hopeful side."
Why? Labour have historically struggled in Audenshaw; firstly against the Tories in the 70s and 80s, and then the Lib Dems in the 90s and noughties.
With the Lib Dems now a busted flush, it is going to be a lot closer than people expect.
Audenshaw Labour have been, let us say, a little non-descript. They have to rely on Adrian 'Mole' Gwynne and his pal Hazel Smears to get them cheap publicity.

Bloody good isn't it! Doreen is a fabulous councillor and deserves an increased majority come 1st May.
...and her presence on the council completely pisses of Uncle Roy, which goes down well with many Labour councillors.
Doreen is fantastic. Keep her in. I am sure she will have no trouble at all.
Doreen is a great CLLR
The best thing is she really pisses Roy Oldham off which is always encouraged.

Absolutely barmy.
I am told the Tories Voted for the congestion charge plans a named vote in the council chamber.

Everyone loves magical Doreen. 'Cos the tricks that she does are ever so clever.
This will be a great year for the Tories. Stacey will win in Audenshaw.

These are desperate times for Labour.
Is the above just BNP hot air or is there any evidence of either activity?
Well we know that John Taylor contacted the National Front and UKIP to get them to stand in Dukinfield.

BNP not active anywhere in Tameside so far just West sending out stuff via the post office, where does he get his money from.
The BNP will push The Tories in to third place in Audenshaw.
Latest News from Dukinfield, West has proclaimed himself the Son of God, and putting out leaflets saying this.
West will be sectioned AGAIN very soon, he is acting very strange looks like another name change is on its way.
Hey Gareth are you stalking West?
Have you any evidence of that Gareth. It would rather put paid to his campaign.
The BNP will take more Labour votes than Tory. Jean Brazil must be a little worried that Stacey is going to win.
