Dealing with anti-social behaviour community diary
Looks like a good initiative to deal with this ever growing problem.

We kept a diary of anti-social behaviour which lead to 14 convictions in court, but the disappointment is that the thugs never stopped their yob behaviour.......The police were happy to see my family come forward and give evidence, but the council and the police won't tell you that you are on your own when you do come forward. I had three convictions on one little yob but they made no difference to his behaviour. The police were having the run around with him....And at the end of going to court over 35 times to give evidence against the yobs, I then get a letter from Cllr John Taylor gloating about his meeting with the God father of all these yobs.......
I am sorry TC but I would advise residents not to come forward, let the police get the yobs...And the community safety unit did not want to know when my family were being attacked in our home....they kept telling me to call the police it was nothing to do with them. And with Cllrs like John Taylor doing nothing to help victims of yob violence, I would say that things don't look good for local residents.
You should not have to keep a diary of incidents of anti-social behaviour, the police should be policing the streets so we don't have to do their job for them. The police came to my door asking me if I would keep a diary of incidents of anti-social behaviour involving these three yobs, and I am getting my windows smashed every night....we are going to court getting conviction after conviction against these thugs, and we are still getting our windows smashed.
This sort of diary reminds me of the worst excesses of the old Communist East Europe.
Spy on your neighbours, report "anti-social" (Really means anti-socialIST behaviour), snoop on the neighbourhood.
IF the local establishment wanted to crack down on lawbreaking they would NOT have left Roy West to do his own work.
When my wife and I also had yob trouble together with the neighbours we organised a community meeting, the result:-
1) The council put pressure on the local school to cancel the booking.
2) The local beat copper came around to our house and said the Police were not going to have any input into the meeting
3) On the night of the meeting the police video van was parked outside our meeting place ("The Hop Pole" on Oldham Road) filming US and ignoring the yobs
Nothing to do with preventing crime but social control.
John your behaviour has been disgraceful, sending out anonymous letters to my home, sending me mountains of Junk mail, we know its you by your hand writing. Meeting the God Father of the yobs that went around Hyde smashing peoples windows.......I think that you are pissed most of the time John.

McCarthyism, witch hunts and the Spanish inquisition are just some of the historical movements that used such tactics.
Regular Joe Bloggs should not be encouraged to use these diaries as if they're the norm. Rather they should be handed out to those who are experiencing problems, otherwise what's the point expect to cast aspertions against any resident who happens to act or look 'funny'?
This is a great scheme to keep the scrotes under control. In the unlikely event any of u lot ever got into office how would u deal with anti-social behaviour?
HAHAHA @ Tameside VIP. But Uncle Roy has been saying that anti social behaviour is just an exaggeration in the press and that we will all go through it in one way or another.
Why have I not been getting any visits from Purnell's office recently. Have you been given the boot too?
I know what "theft", "assault","Criminal damage", "Underage drinking" and "Threatening behaviour" are. They are all crimes and have been for ages and consequently are capable of being dealt with by the authorities.
But "Anti-social behaviour" is less easy to define. It us a catch-all "We the authorities know what it means" phrase. It's about social control of "deviants" and not prosecution of criminals.
These diaries will be studied and "deviants" who regularly appear will be dealt with. Not because they are breaking the law but to appease the local mob (sorry "community").

Good on you Roy. If more people challenged the yobs they could be defeated.
