Ok folks, I think it is now apparent to all that sadly this blog is no longer workable in its current format. For a trial period all comments on this blog will be moderated. I will do my best to be fair in approving posts, however due to the nature of my work which sometimes limits my access to the internet, posts may take up to 48hrs to appear. If common sense returns and posters comment in a sensible way on relevant or closely related issues to the topic in hand, moderation will cease and the blog will return to an uncensored free for all – but hopefully a sensible free for all instead of the bedlam that it has become of late.

Moderation

I think it is because of unrestrained and off topic posting by many people. I include myself in this list.
I doubt I have provided much benefit for our party and I think many other posters have done their parties a great deal of harm.
I for one will take this moderation in the spirit in which it is meant.
No it will actually please alot of people.....who want to stick to the story at hand in the future. Off to bed now had a big day talking to local people for "representation not hate' Lots of goodwill and support.
Thanks for that UKIP. The problem with the previous arrangement was that in the heat of the moment emotions could take over from reasoning and posts were made in anger that then could not be deleted by non registered bloggers. I hope the moderation is only going to be a temporary measure.
It takes courage to admit mistakes were made, but made they were and by many different people. The only comfort in this is that I doubt many ‘ordinary’ voters or members of the public view this blog – which is a good job because I think it would be a case of embarrassment all around.
